We have made quite a few trips to the area and this time our main priority was quiet. That it was. There was even a holiday and we never heard a single firework, wild! That said you are on an island, it will take time to get to other areas or to find a dose of culture. During a time with traffic, which is most times… it took 45 minutes to get to Las Gloria’s (so longer to get to Old Town). We suggest visiting Bucerias which is colorful, with white sand, and 20 minutes or less away. While there are walkable things like a dining choice or two they are a bit ho hum and we highly suggest a visit to La Comer before coming on property as the develeopment’s market is all very overpriced American imports.
The property (a planned community called Paradise Villiage) and the unit were in fantastic condition. We travelled with three children, who are quiet and behaved, but found that the space is family friendly and a good mix of retirees with some folks with children. There is an onsite bar/grill perfect for poolside/beachside lunch.
Check in was a bit delayed—the front desk was not aware of our impending arrival. If this happens to you they are likely looking for a handwritten reservation form, not your VRBO confirmation, and text to the property manager got that sent over and resolved but it took a bit to get to that solution. We found the front desk people to be very helpful, and will easily secure you a taxi nearly immediately.
Walk to the left on the beach and get a massage!
