Awesome host and house
The house was very conveniently located to all of our favorite activities for one. The check-in process was smooth and we were even allowed to check in a couple hours early which helped tremendously. The house was perfect for a weekend getaway with all the amenities we needed, a cozy living room, comfortable beds, and even some fun board games. We were looking forward to using the firepit outside which looked great, but it was just too cold so blankets and couches were the next best thing. I would certainly stay here again on our next trip to DCL.

Birthday celebration getaway
The house is well appointed and was very clean. We enjoyed the electric fireplace and smart TVs. The furnace heat did a great job keeping up with the 20 degree days when we were there. I'm sure that the AC and ceiling fans in every room do well during the summer as well. Dutch's restaurant is conveniently located across the road for a nice dinner. Rick's warning about needing a 4WD/AWD vehicle during the winter should be considered. The main roads are plowed and salted/sanded but store parking lots and side roads didn't seem to be. The roads right at the house were fairly clear. The circular drive at this house is very convenient for arriving and leaving without having to worry about backing up. We had a great time!

Very Nice!
I would highly recommend this house! It has lots of room to spread out and is extremely convenient to everything in Deep Creek. The unit was immaculate and well-kept. The owners were very responsive and friendly. We would stay there again.

This was a nice house and clean,but was disappointed that 2 of the TVs in 2 rooms did not work,and communication with the host was very poor,and by the end of the night when going to bed felt like I was in a haunted house door bell ringing and some one talking on intercom saying someone was at front door and the door was open when went to the door didn't see any one,very spooky will not come here again

Property was exactly as expected. Everything was clean and the kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. We especially enjoyed the outside space including the deck and fire pit. It was conveniently located near shopping, restaurants, hiking trails and Deep Creek Lake.

Family getaway success!
Best VRBO we’ve stayed in yet. Beautiful, spacious, comfortable home. Rick is responsive and made the checking in and out process a breeze. From the stocked kitchen with kid friendly utensils, the giant Connect Four game, to the bath robes and fit pit. My family of 5 enjoyed it all. Minutes to the water falls and a variety of food joints. The location cannot be better. We will be back!

Perfect clean and loved the location
This may of been the best VRBO that we have stayed. Attention to details throughout this house starting with benches in the foyer to store shoes and vacation items, to a bench in the upstairs bath with plenty of hooks for hanging towels. The kitchen is stocked and the kitchen table is perfect for playing games. The outdoor deck has just the right amount of natural shade canopy with comfortable chairs, and a fire pit, stocked with wood. There are just so many details and we did enjoy the hiding the gnome game! Thank you Rick and Amy, you house is a gem!

Loved this place!
We’ve been renting homes in DCL for the past 5 years for our family of 6 and this house has been our favorite so far. Terrific location, super clean and tidy, excellent linens, and the kids loved the arcade game and the giant connect4 on the wall near the kitchen.

Stayed with adult family members and the house was perfect. Great amenities for cooking, coffee pot had both pot and k-cup options. Outdoor fire pit was great with the ability to cook overtop the fire! Beds comfy and that extra bathroom was nice to have!

Perfect location/right-sized home
Really enjoyed the place! The house was perfectly set up in layout for a little extra privacy for the first floor bedroom occupants which we enjoyed. The teens and dad enjoyed making a fire in the fire pit (with stocked wood ready to go!!!) and even though the home is surrounded by trees, there is enough clearing to still be able to see the stars and play a little Cornhole (we brought boards). I personally loved being able to walk across the street to the lakefront and bar at Dutch's Silver tree. Worry free parking was great too, room for four vehicles was excellent with several drivers in our group. Will definitely book again!

Excellent DCL location - Perfect Stay
I can't say enough good things about our stay at Black Eyed Susan!! The house was clean and felt like I was stepping into my own home! The home is well stocked with everything you could need and more. We woke up the first day and realized we forgot coffee. Well wouldn't you know it, there was coffee in the cabinet🙌🙏 We enjoyed the chipmonks, saw some deer and the view of the backyad is fabulous🙌🌈. Perfect location to the lake as well as Oakland, Md. We enjoyed our time with family and friends and went the visit the UA 93 Memorial site in Somerset, PA which was an easy 1.5 hour drive. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the DCL area! This is a beautiful, relaxing location after a fun day on the lake or exploring. We will be back!

Perfect Spot!
This was a clean and spacious rental close to many restaurants and shops and the lake. Kitchen was well stocked with anything you could need. View in the backyard was beautiful. Beds were comfortable. I'd definitely stay again if I find myself back in Deep Creek.

Relaxing Family Getaway
This property has everything you need to make your stay feel like a home away from home. Plenty of towels and clean linens, lots of kitchen amenities, and cleaning supplies. The property manager was proactive in checking in after we arrived to address any potential concerns although there were none. It’s close to many attractions and the firepit was a huge hit for us to make s’mores. We stayed with two families (4 adults) and 3 kids ranging from 2-4. This was a great place for us to relax and enjoy Deep Creek and we had plenty of room to not be on top of each other. The view is also unbeatable. We will definitely be back!!

Fathers Day Weekend Getaway
House was perfect for my family of 5 for our Fathers Day Weekend getaway. Location was close enough to the activities but far enough away we were able to enjoy peace and quiet around a fire in the backyard nightly. Home was nice and clean for our arrival. A peaceful getaway
My husband and I spent three nights at this lovely home, and we could easily have stayed another ten. It’s an immaculately clean and welcoming place, with great flow through all the rooms which are surprisingly spacious. The kitchen is equipped with everything we needed to cook our meals, and the living area has comfortable seating around the fireplace and by the great picture window. We really enjoyed looking out into the woods, watching the deer come by. The house is ideally situated in easy reach of all the local attractions. The hosts are attentive and encourage your questions. We recommend staying here without any hesitation and hope to return in the future.
