MAJOR updates needed
Upon arrival to The Douillet, the curb appeal in the lobby was great and the check in process went well. Until I went up to the room I was in. The room itself is so rundown, and the bathroom needs a major update. The shower was so disgusting it looks like whoever bought this hotel did nothing to fix anything. The shower door was not there instead of replacing the glass door they drilled holes on the frame and put a shower curtain with shower rings and the floor of the shower was cracked and they tried to fix it with fiber glass patch. There were greasy fingerprints all over the pocket door for the bathroom. The toilet did not flush because the chain for the handle was not even hooked up and the toilet fill valve was not working either, I had to take the tank lid off to get the valve to fill the tank. Also, the hot water was so hot that it would burn someone if they were not careful. The refrigerator freezer shelf was not even attached to the ceiling of the fridge. The condition of the room furnishing is in need of a major upgrade. We will not be staying here again ever and would not ever recommend to anyone. The front desk staff and breakfast bar was the only thing that was nice.

The Douillet: Great value for your dollar!
This is not my first time staying at the Douillet. This is a really nice property for the money and even includes a breakfast. I particularly enjoyed the shower with a glass door.

The service was great we were greated with kindness, and when we left we were greated with kindness again. The room was clean, the breakfast was a great selection. The location was easy to find and close to several resturants and shops.

My stay was terrible the freezer part and the ice box was broken the staff was rude they screw me on my deposit saying that I damaged her lining which I didn't want to use two rags and feel coffee and my own sickness up but other than that we make sure the room was clean to get our own trash make sure you didn't need nothing behind make sure we didn't do no damage and we found bed bugs when we left worst day I ever had

My favorite hotel I have ever stayed in!!
We absolutely loved it!! It is an old historic building, but was so charming we didn’t want to leave. When we go back next year that’s where we will stay. It’s not a fancy modern room, but it is clean, quiet and comfortable. It is on the roof top, we were able to set out in front of our room and view down town. It also had the cutest little kitchen.

Best kept secret
The hotel is located right off the highway for easy access and had a plethora of restaurants to choose from. The room was big, spacious and clean and the shower was hot and refreshing. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise with plenty of options to choose from. The front desk receptionist Sham made us feel welcomed and at ease during check in and was very courteous and professional. We'll definitely be back.

It was ok but I didn't expect to make a deposit since I already paid for the room. The deposit was so that I didn't smoke in the room. I DON'T SMOKE and how can they do that do people. They offered a coffee maker in the room but no coffee pot. So they took $50 out of my spending money for my trip and said that it would be back on my account yesterday afternoon after the people cleaned the room. I have yet to see it back into my account. They just assume that everyone lies when making a reservation, that is very unacceptable. Apparently they have been burned in the past and everyone else has to pay for it.
