The location of the house is amazing, just a few minutes’ walk from the beach and the local grocery store.
However, we faced several issues with communication regarding the following problems: WiFi, hot water, laundry, and trash. The hot water problem was resolved very quickly, as the issue was just that the gas tanks outside were empty. The other issues proved much more problematic. We had no WiFi for the first week, and even once activated it did not properly work (it would randomly disconnect). Then, we had set out to use the washing machine to do laundry at a temperature above 45°C. This was something we weren’t supposed to do, as the pressure would cause the pipe to be pushed out of the wall and flood the bathroom - we were NOT warned about this. Finally, there was a guide to the trash segregation in the house, but we were expected to somehow have disposed of all our trash by the end of our stay, despite the last collection having been two days prior.
These problems were all topped off by exceptionally poor communication from the owners - there was little English (mind that we do not speak any Italian) and we kept being juggled between different people, none of whom seemed keen to help. In the end, our €150 deposit was not given back to us over the washing machine issue, despite us unknowingly flooding the bathroom.
So, while we recommend the beautiful Pittulongu to others, we don’t recommend staying in this house - the issues faced only make the stay stressful.
