The desk person wasn’t overly friendly & didn’t share any information about the hotel until I asked. Bed was comfy but pillows are horrible. Parking fee should have been noted in the booking.

Only issue I had was the very long check in line. I’ve never had to wait that long in a line. Over 40 mins. The line was so long behind us as well. Not sure if this is a regular thing but it really needs to be improved.

We had a disappointing experience at Brookstreet Hotel in Kanata. Check-in was frustratingly slow despite four staff members at the counter. When we finally got our room keys, the sensor cover on the door fell off, making it difficult to enter the room. We asked a nearby housekeeping staff member for help, and she told us that this room’s sensor was a known issue and advised us to go back downstairs to request a new room and new key cards—which meant waiting in line all over again. Absolutely ridiculous! If the hotel knew about this issue, why assign the room in the first place and waste our time? Inside, the bathroom was poorly stocked with tissue paper, the hot shower didn’t work properly, and there was no fan, making ventilation an issue. The in-room coffee setup was also disappointing—no creamers, just whitener with corn syrup, which was far from ideal. To top it off, the hotel refused a simple request for a one-hour late checkout—something no other 4- or 5-star hotel we’ve stayed at has ever denied. Customer service here seems to be an afterthought, and we wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Everything was wonderful! So much to do in the hotel. Was just a bit disappointed that there was not an outdoors skating rink as that was one of the main reason I chose this hotel . Maybe take that out of the advertisement as I packed all outdoors clothing and skates.

I travel often and was quite disappointed with this experience. When we arrived we tried to get ice and there are no icemakers on the floors, so we called the number that stated for ice call this number and no ice came. It was frustrating but no big deal. During the night we noticed that the doors between the rooms (for adjoining rooms) were paper thin without any noise barrier on the bottom. The people next door weren't overly loud but you could 'easily' hear every word spoken. The hallway was also very loud. It was terrible and it impossible that we are the only guests to notice this (I checked the reviews to see). In the morning we noticed our fridge wasn't working so we called and they fixed it while we were out. However during the night the fridge was chugging so loud we just unplugged it (which is likely why it wasn't working when we arrived). We ate on site the first night and the food was average at best for the price. We ordered room service for breakfast and that was also wrong, but we decided just to live with it and not return. Not a great experience for what I expected to be a decent venue.
