I just stayed here for six nights, choosing this Marriott property based on its appealing photos and my positive past experiences with the brand. This trip was particularly special, as it was my parents’ first vacation in five years, and I was eager to make it memorable for them. Unfortunately, the stay was profoundly disappointing due to several significant issues:
Room Condition:
• The room was in disrepair: dirty surfaces, a moldy bathroom, filthy vents, and multiple non-functioning outlets.
• Lighting was inadequate; a lamp was placed without a nearby outlet, leaving the room extremely dark at night.
Housekeeping Failures:
• One day, the room was not cleaned at all.
• On other days, service was incomplete—only the trash was taken out, and essentials like towels, toilet paper, and coffee were not replenished.
• The bed was made just once during our stay, and it was done so poorly it looked like a child had done it.
• I had to call repeatedly for basic items, which is unacceptable for a property of this standard.
Hotel Amenities:
• The pool loungers were old and grimy.
• The heavily perfumed lobby caused sneezing and discomfort.
Billing Issues:
• At checkout, an unauthorized charge appeared.
• While it was removed after I questioned it, the concierge refused to provide an itemized breakdown, leaving the situation unresolved and highly suspicious.
