As other reviews noted, the apartment is clean, spacious, well appointed with amenities, and in an ideal location. However, our stay was not a positive one due to other tenants in the building.
On our first day, piano playing welcomed us mid-afternoon, which didn't bother us. It lasted for a little over an hour. That evening, playing started after 22:00 and it continued well after midnight! And this was heavy pounding on the keys type of playing. Ida was sent a text to see if she could contact that neighbor to quiet things down. We heard back from her at 10 a.m. the next day with an apology and that the person would be contacted.
Second night: playing started after 23:00, much to our surprise. After two stomps on the floor a little after midnight (we assumed person was below us), playing finally stopped, but person quickly changed to some other activity, which sounded like moving furniture around the apartment! This lasted to 1:30 a.m.
Could our third and final night be a charm of peaceful sleeping? NO WAY. Now this time it didn't sound like our piano playing furniture mover was the culprit. Instead, noise that resembled people with very heavy feet ballroom dancing and bumping into furniture in the process started after midnight and seemed to be from the apartment above us, or at least close by. At 1:30 a.m. they were still going at it.
I share what we recently experienced to inform others who are looking for their Paris accommodation.
Enjoy magnificent Paris!
