BEACH: This was our first time in Pensacola; I grew up in central FL so I've never vacationed in the Panhandle before. Pensacola beach's are lovely- powder white sand, clear water with the occasional wave. I also found lots of neat shells to add to my collection. The condo is on the 2nd floor and has beautiful views. You are very very close to the sand, so in less than a 3 minute walk from the condo, you are on the beach. My friends stayed down the road in a high rise and it was quite the order and trek for them to get onto the sand.
LOCATION: The only area with restaurants or businesses is less than a 10 minute drive. There is nothing in walking distance. The complex is near other complexes and houses. It is very residential. There isn't a grocery store on the island, so you have the cross the bridge and pay a toll. Most restaurants on the island were very busy, especially on the weekends. We only ate out a few times to avoid this. Peg Leg's, for instance, was a 2 hour wait at 5pm. Our favorite meal was at The Grand Marlin (made a 8:30 pm rez and still had to wait 30 mins) and Flounder's (put our name in on YELP and waited 30 mins).
BUILDING: It is dated but secure. The pool is small and we never used it. The garbage shoot is right outside the condo door which is convenient but a little stinky in the hall. There is a chair service by Lazy Days but is $40 per day for 2 chairs and 1 umbrella. They set you up in the far back of the beach. Much cheaper to buy or bring your own. There is a beach closet off the patio with some items. Check that first.
CONDO" Super spacious, especially the master bedroom. I found the bed and pillows very comfy. I appreciate the blackout curtains, too. We never used the living room nor watched TV so I can't comment on them. The kitchen was nicely stocked. I wish the blender had been higher quality and there wasn't a wine bottle opener. I bought my own at Publix's. One really nice touch was the soap, sponge, paper towels, TP, and other included items that I didn't have to buy. There was coffee filters and some condiments in the kitchen too. There wasn't laundry detergent but I bought some and left it. So, I guess it will just depend who rents before you. My friend who rented down the street didn't even get TP with their rental, so I was very appreciative.
So, overall, this place was lovely. I would recommend to a friend and I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
