This was our first visit to the Perdido Keys area and it was pretty. Our condo was very clean…and I’m picky about that…and spacious with 2 beds/2 baths. Because of the dates we chose (Aug-Sept week), the vacay rush was over and the area was uncrowded.
Two things that were disappointing to us:: 1. The beach is not walkable. The sand is built up to a level where it’s very difficult to walk. It then drops off into the water without enough sand packed area to walk comfortably beside the water without getting in it. It’s a great sand box for kids, though! 2: We had to get new door codes 3 different times. (We don’t get out much, so we learned a lesson.). We thought the # sign at the beginning of our initial door code was just the number sign before our given numbers, so we didn’t include it when entering the code. Lol….include it and save yourself the frustration of getting locked out. Each new code we were given (without the # sign) must’ve timed out because we got locked out two more times until maintenance came by on the 2nd or 3rd day and reset the initial code. But, each time we had a problem, we called or texted and someone got back with us very quickly! Great response time!
There was only one restaurant within walking distance, which was a plus for us; less crowds because of that. (Lillian’s Pizza and the pizza was delicious!)
We recommend this unit.
