Loved it at Top of Town. Tracee was very welcoming and the bedroom and ensuite very, very, very comfortable. Spotlessly clean with good hot drink selection. Tracee was very helpful in every way. There was no option for breakfast but many choices in short walk.
Lovely hosts and lovely property, likely one of the best, if not the best in Picton. Make sure that you can carry your luggage up about 5 steps, there is no ramp.
Friendly and helpful host greeted us on arrival - we appreciated being able to check-in early.
Room was very clean and in very good condition. We had a fridge in which to put a few perishable items we had, plus a kettle, tea, coffee and some milk pods.
There's a microwave but no toaster or crockery or cutlery - limiting your breakfast options - or you eat out
Spacious and spotlessly clean shower and toilet room.
The bed was a good size but a bit too firm for our liking - may well suit others.
One chair, so someone sits on the bed.
The property sits on a road leading to the ferry terminals, so there seems to be traffic at all times - although we didn't find it disturbed us.
Picton centre (shops, restaurants, etc.) and the waterfront is about a 20 minute walk away.
There's parking on-site.
We found it a good place to stay for our one night ahead of a ferry crossing to Wellington.
Welcoming, clean and spacious. Large bathroom. Loved that the fan provided was immaculate (i wont use if dirty, dont like blowing other peoples dirt around the room). Loved the little extras like water in the fridge, as well as soft clean bathrobes.
Great value in Picton for a nights stay before/after the ferry with super friendly hosts. A bit noisy due to location right on the main road, but quiets down at night.
Loved it! Room 3 was clean, well equipped, and perfect for our stay. Only a 10 minute walk to downtown which was very convenient. The host, Tracee, was absolutely fantastic and really goes above and beyond to make your stay the best. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Picton.
The room had everything you could need . We had the pet friendly accommodation, only one available at the time of booking, we did not have a pet with us
This would be perfect for anyone travelling with their dog
We ate in the Irish pub twice for dinner , which was very good
It was fine - perfectly adequate for a 1 night stop over - bit of a walk along noisy roads to get to waterfront where the cafes etc are but fine for a one night stop over - thank you
We were passing through Picton stayed for one night only. The bedroom & bathroom were clean, no kitchen but there was a kettle etc, fridge & a microwave, did the job. The host was very friendly and helpful with information. The location was close, 5mns in a car, to the ferry and town, handy! I would recommend.
Tracee was super helpful and we were able to drop off luggage early so we could go explore. Nice guesthouse, decent sized room and bathroom. Bed made noise every time you moved but otherwise it was a good stay.
