We booked this place just one day before our stay. Initially, everything seemed fine. However, upon our arrival at the house, we encountered some troubles. Firstly, we couldn't locate the key because we hadn't received any instructions regarding its whereabouts, except for the lock code. Anyway it turned into a bit of an adventure for the kids to explore the house and eventually find it.
Upon entering, we were met with a disappointing sight. The house was uncleaned,beds were dirty and stinky, uncleaned toilets, and numerous empty alcohol cans littered the balcony. Sensing that something was amiss, I attempted to contact the owner, Mark, but received no response to my calls or texts. I was willing to discuss the situation with him, understand what had happened, and even offered to clean the house myself and proceed with our stay. However, after receiving no reply, we made the decision to leave and find alternative accommodation.
Unfortunately, there were no available options on Stayz for the same day, but luckily, we managed to secure another place through a different platform. Later, Mark reached out to explain the situation, citing that he was traveling from a distance and that the state of the house was a mistake made by the cleaner. He also kindly offered a refund upon providing him with a screenshot of our new booking, which I promptly provided. However, to date, there has been no refund, nor any response to my message. The case is on Stayz custumer service now.
