Overall this is a great campsite. We would definitely stay here again. However a couple of items…
1. I love to fish and I have a large (13’6”, 140ish lb loaded) fishing kayak. What attracted me to this camp site was the kayak dock. Launching and recovering a large kayak was difficult at best. The path down to the kayak dock definitely needs to be widened and improved. I was having to drag my kayak through the brush and over exposed roots just to get to the kayak dock. Also, just as a warning (not much the owner can do to improve this), but if the tides aren’t cooperative and you have to launch at low tide times, you’ll have to drag your kayak through 30’ of knee deep muck to get to floatable water.
2. A warning about the loose sand around the campsite would be helpful. I did get my truck stuck.
Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and being kind of in the middle of the cape made it easy to ride our bikes to the stores and restaurants.
