Beautiful island, path to Grace Bay is right across the street a 5 minute walk. Beach is beautiful...townhouse large, clean, with a tropical oasis for a backyard with a pool. Would recommend Coco Bistro, Magnolia's Las Brisas, Hemingway's, Somewhere, Shark bite. We rent a car and tour the entire island ourselves. Long Bay beach is off the beaten path and quite truthfully I got nervous and wanted to go back to the car but my husband is amazing with the map - it is located in a residential area but there is just this small path with no signs or anything...but as you walk into the path, finally you come upon a sign that reads Long Bay Beach and it looms ahead of you and it is tranquil, desolate and beautiful!! We like to explore so...Sapadillo Bay is also beautiful. The snorkeling wasn't good - Smith's Reef was rocky and the other snorkeling spot I was actually a bit nervous to go out around the reef because I had seen a shark 2 days prior, (a lemon shark they told us) at shark bites...it comes in every day so I thought hmmm this shark could come into the reef and that prevented me from going out and around it (now mind you it isn't out far, it's that I ) had I not seen the shark I would have gone...but I have been to quite a few islands and the snorkeling did not compare at all. That said Turks and Caicos is beautiful and we enjoyed ourselves. oh! we did see 2 turtles, and an octopus.
