We had a wonderful 7 days at this resort. The property was very clean, the pools and beach great, the staff was excellent and the restaurants were wonderful. We especially loved the presentations of the desserts and fruit areas in the buffet restaurant. Very well done. The night life is a little low key for adults and a nightclub for adults would of been great, offering comedy, live music and karaoke. Many other resorts we have been too offer this and makes for a wonderful evening after a day in the sun. Kudos to the lazy river as this was our daily place to be. Our only complaint was being blind sided on arrival day that we were being invited to breakfast the following morning to receive some gifts because we booked through Expedia which we always do. After meeting our rep the following morning I questioned him if this was a timeshare or vacation club presentation. He claimed it was a vacation club. I immediately told him we were not interested as we had a similar situation years ago and that we would never do one of those again. He understood and we went on our way. Other than this we had a great time and would highly recommend this resort. Thank you Bob & Laurie

It is an excellent resort with fantastic services on every level. Very green, clean, organized, and efficient service The food is excellent in buffets and restaurants The beach is great, clean and clear. There is a an area next to the main beach where the water is pristine and perfect for swimming with minimum waves Really nothing to say, fantastic !

The resort was very nice. My room was more beautiful than expected. Staff were so sweet and attentive to all my needs. So many good food options and activities. The only thing I would correct are the itinerary times and locations. Sometimes it was not accurate for actives on resort.

The property is beautiful, pools are amazing. Rooms are spacious with great cleaning services. The buffet is good with a lot of food options. The only downside is the buffet waiters were mostly inattentive, had to ask many times for water, felt like understaffed.

I stayed at Ocean El Faro this February for 10 days for a birthday trip. From the moment I got there, I was very impressed. I signed up for their “Privilege” experience, which gave me access to exclusive restaurants, pools, and other services in addition to the all-inclusive benefits that the resort offered. I want to highlight our personal concierge, José, who went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. He acted immediately when we had a request and decorated our suite for my birthday! He really helped to take away the stress that comes with traveling and planning. Overall, from the location, the beach access, the suite, the amenities, and the resort staff, it was a great experience. This is a great place to celebrate special moments with your loved ones!

We loved our trip. Jose was great and helped with everything we needed during our trip. The only complaint I have is how pushed and pressured we were to buy a timeshare/membership. It was over the top for the amount of money we paid to be there. Everyone is jumping at a potential sale and you lose over an hour of your time during their sales pitch. I also will add, if you are booking through Expedia, no shuttle is provided for you, that is left up to you and that experience was a bit scary and costly. Overall, it was a great, relaxing time but I do not think we will be back.

My family and I absolutely loved Ocean El Faro Resort—it was perfect for both the adults and the kids. The hospitality was outstanding! We felt well taken care of from the moment we landed in the DR until the moment we left. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting the DR. The room was very musty smelling. The service in buffet was not that good. Had to wait a long time for coffee. I would like to see more coffee places in your resort. The theatre was great.Overall the resort is beautiful, loved the lazy river. I have recommended this resort to a friend who will be there soon.

We were lucky to have booked a Privilege Swim up Suite. To our surprise, we were not aware that it was going to be so large and spacious with a full separate living room with a large patio. The accommodations were perfect and probably the best I have ever experienced. Now let’s talk about the staff. As a seasoned traveler, I can tell you that all the staff was extremely polite and willing to help and answer any question we had. First, our Butler extraordinaire….José Jiménez. What an amazing person. He communicated with us at all times during our stay. He without a doubt enjoys his work in this industry. We barely had to ask for anything since he anticipated all of our questions and needs during our stay. He ensured that we received the best service everywhere we were at all times during our week there….even on his day off. Our Cabana attendant Juan. He was another that you can truly tell that he likes what he does. We never needed to check of our cabana was setup or if we needed anything. He was always there to make sure we were taken care of. Juan made sure we were comfortable everyday that we had that cabana. As for the swim bar…our second home for the week, Jhon and his team were AMAZING. He never forgot what we wanted and also remembered our name. A great bartender can make or brake a trip. I can tell you Jhon is the best. What service we got ALL DAY. Ocean El Faro is on our list to return again next year because of all those gentlemen that took such great care of us.
