The food was wonderful, local breakfast foods, or American options. The views are stunning. Love having direct access to sunsets. The town walking distance to shopping, other places to eat. The staff were most exceptional, went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. We had anything we needed, and Anna and Stephen booked all our excursions, and had an itinerary before we even atrived. Definitely will be coming back. The bartenders to the staff who assisted were all phenomenal, friendly and go out of their way to make the stay pleasant. Sloths, monkeys all around also
Everything about Buena Vista was perfect. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is perfect on the beach. We were fortunate to have monkeys travelling across the property and macaws landing in a tree near by. (And the resident cat is laid back and adorable). We would definitely stay again.
What a nice place to stay, clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff, nice breakfast, nice beach. Iâm definitely staying again here! Highly recommended!
Staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is good. There is a resident cat that comes up onto balconyâs and patios which is fine if you like pets but not great if youâre allergic⊠Good location on the beach but a little bit too âopenâ to the public meaning it doesnât feel ultra safe - the sliding doors onto the patio areas werenât exactly very secure (large gaps at the bottoms when locked shut) and anyone from the public beach could technically walk straight into the room without being noticed. The rooms were outdated and very damp (you could even smell it in the mattress). This unfortunately doesnât make the room feel clean and fresh. The humidity in Costa Rica is high, but airing the rooms out between stays and having a dehumidifier set up in the rooms would help massively.Despite the friendly staff and beachfront location it was definitely our least favourite stay in the 3.5 weeks we were in Costa Rica.
Everything about our two night stay was wonderful. The hotel is literally steps to the ocean waves, and itâs so nice to just walk out, jump in and within seconds you can be back to the room. The beach is quite popular with tourists and locals, with various options to get food or drinks. We felt safe 100% of the time. The room itself is basic, but comfortable and clean. Itâs not the most luxurious hotel in the world, but it fully meets or exceeds the western standard, which is not always common for the area. Would 100% stay again.
We were so amazed by the property. Pictures online donât do it justice. We got the best room with a balcony looking out at the beach. We saw perezosas and Titi every morning!! Additionally, the staff was so friendly and welcoming that we never wanted to leave. They really looked after us. We had just a short walk to town and to the Manuel Antonio national park. We met a friendly local family who told us (as all the locals told us) that we were in the best hands at buena vista with Raul. Thank you for an amazing experience! We canât wait to come back
Super helpful, friendly staff!
Our room with a large patio was a very short distance to a gorgeous beach. You can easily walk from here to Manuel Antonio National Park.
My wife and I recently spent a relaxing week at this hotel. The location is great, right on the beach, and close to Manuel Antonio National Park. The staff are outstanding: friendly, pleasant, and very helpful with reserving, arranging tours, check-in, and handling any requests during our stay.. Our room had great views of the beach and adjacent lush jungle and had a spacious balcony which we really enjoyed. Very good breakfasts are included, and we enjoyed other very nice meals and drinks as well. And the beach is beautiful. We highly recommend this place, and would absolutely stay there again. Gord M. Everyone was so nice and looked after us every day. The food was so good and âHappy Hourâ was excellent. We highly recommend this property if traveling to Costa Rica.
We arrived early before check in but was greeted warmly and shown around. Before check-in we had instant use of all of the hotels amenities and was set up with an umbrella and beach chairs. Our unit was ready early and we were able to unpack. Ocean front, beautiful views, incredible sunset over the water right outside our room. The staff was great, the restaurant food was excellent, bar & food service on the beach. Because we had an early morning tour, a continental breakfast was provided. Great atmosphere, super clean accomadations, friendly & professional staff. I would definitely stay here again.
We loved our stay! Great location just off of Espadilla Beach. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. Communication with our hosts was timely and appreciated. The employees were friendly and very helpful. It was nice that Dennis set up our beach chairs and umbrella each day, exactly where we wanted it. The restaurant on the property was excellent. We appreciated Carlo and Andre setting us up on the beach for dinner. Overall a great place to stay for a Costa Rica experience!
This property is so nice with is being boutique like with only 8 rooms. The in-house restaurant has delicious food! We had lunch on the beach a couple of times. The room is compact but works just fine. We had rented a car so we had easy access to all the local restaurants. The staff are all wonderful with their friendliness and helpful ways. Lisa at the front desk was awesome! We thoroughly enjoyed all of the monkey activity around the property and were able to spot a sloth and a Toucan. The only thing we missed with this property was having a pool. While the ocean is close, often the waves were just too much for us to venture so a small pool would be nice to cool off. We would not hesitate to return here if in the Manuel Antonio area!
The Buena Vista Beach hotel is a lovely, small (8 room hotel) with modern updated rooms and back decks overlooking the ocean (at least some of the upstairs rooms overlook the ocean). The only time we spent in our room however was to sleep as the beach is great. The hotel provides chairs and umbrellas for hotel guests. The beach is public and people staying at hotels or houses that are not on the beach use the beach, as well as Costa Rican families. We enjoyed this l; just know there were quite a few people on the weekend enjoying the beach front property at the hotel. The hotel includes breakfast with your stay, though this is very limited with items not always available. We ate breakfast out one day as we wanted a full breakfast with some choice. They will provide you with a breakfast of granola, fruit and yogurt If you have a tour that leaves before 8am (as the kitchen opens at 7:30am) however this was pretty marginal; such a small amount of granola and yogurt was provided that we were not sure why they bothered providing it at all. Do not let this deter you; the hotel is lovely and Manuel Antonio is a great place to visit.
