Plan was originally to stay at the AC Hotel down the street. So happy we needed the extra space and found this gem. Absolutely felt like a home away from home especially on a chilly rainy weekend, sad we weren’t able to really enjoy the rooftop but indoors was lovely.
We ended up only having 3 guests so we each got our own room and wide range of the space. Very much came in handy when one girl needed to make some phone calls for work and we weren’t crammed into a hotel room.
I kept finding myself raving about this spot to other friends that stayed in hotels and while we were relaxing and getting ready for going out.
Check in was a breeze, I couldn’t find the apartment number but the host was very fast to respond and just before she did I saw the laundry bag for sheets hanging on the door as the host stated prior to checking in. There is a lock box for the key, along with 3 other lock boxes so maybe a marking would help id it but also wasn’t a big deal to try them all.
The parking space is as small as the owner warned. The smaller car was able to park there just fine, midsized Subaru. I parked my Honda Crosstour across the street in the public parking lot, free parking on the weekends. No hassle at all.
The location is perfect, so close to many great food options on Franklin and Rosemary (pro tip: order ahead for Brandwein’s Bagels). Also very convenient for going out, easy walk to and from popular bars.
Beware that the GPS may take you just down the street for some reason, happened to both my friend and myself. Happy I am somewhat familiar with the area so I figured it out relatively quickly and informed my friend.
Would stay here again, will check to see if it’s available next year when I’m back in Chapel Hill.
