Not what we have come to expect from a Home2 Suites. Upon check in, we were charged a parking fee of $14/night when Expedia clearly stated parking was free. However, they never asked for a vehicle description or gave us a ticket to put in our car. This was just a miscellaneous “extra” charge.
We were given room keys to a door that did not open due to a faulty handle. And, we found out later that this was already known. This was the last 2 queen bed room available. We were offered a king—which we took since it was midnight. No offering of a discount but king rooms were less expensive than the 2 queens.
We discovered we couldn’t get anything to come on the TV. I called down to the front desk and she offered absolutely no advice other than saying she’d get someone to come check it in the morning (we were only staying one night). In the morning, my husband realized the only way to watch tv was if you hooked up a laptop as there were no regular tv stations available.
There was no hot water for a shower. It was lukewarm at best.
The only positive thing I have to say about our stay is bed was comfortable.
I plan to contact Expedia about the hidden parking charges. Not that it was a big expense, but we felt it was bogus.
