A Perfect Thanksgiving
Words can not describe the memories that were made at this beautiful home during the past week. The sunrises, sunsets, the conversations on the deck, the fun times on the water, having thanksgiving dinner in a beautiful dining room with incredible views, the list could go on. This is our second time staying here, and we can't recommend this house and owner, Peter, enough. An absolute pleasure to work with Peter and his family. Thank you for the memories!

Awesome house in beautiful location
If you are looking for a spacious, well laid out house in a remote location, this is the place to be. The interior is tastefully decorated and true to the pictures. The screened in porch is priceless, it's where we spent the majority of our time with beautiful views of the creek without being eaten alive by mosquitoes. The pool, although very chilly, was nicely designed with the built in lounge area. The first step into the pool is a little tricky though and a handrail would be a great addition for safety!!! A couple of chairs in addition to the chaise lounges would be nice at the pool, especially for elderly people for whom the chaises are too low. There were plenty of dishes, towels, toys and games. The firepit was a cozy place to enjoy in the evenings. We would have loved to make smores there but understand it wasn't allowed due to the potential mess. I gave cleanliness 4 stars due to the fact that it seemed like the microwave and freezer drawer had not been cleaned (I'm sure just a one-time oversight), the carpet in the living room had several spots, and the cushions on the furniture in the screened in porch need to be cleaned (probably since we came at the end of the season). My husband's only suggestion is to stock the creek with a few more fish. LOL. He only caught 1 fish and 2 crabs off the dock (which were released back into the water). Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us and we can't wait to return next year.

Paradise...
Without a doubt, everything our family needed before a busy Fall season. Relaxing on the water, enjoying the pool, lounging in the screened porch, talking around the peaceful firepit in the evening, just the recharge our family was looking for. Being from the DC area, we purposely booked somewhere that was remote, and this beautiful setting did not disappoint. When we left, we forgot a laptop. The owners kindly called us so we could go back and collect it. They were extremely hospitable and communicative from the day of our booking until the last. We will definitely be back! Thank you so very much!

Beautiful Home & Great Location
We really enjoyed our stay! This is the week we use each year for “true” downtime with no hustle & bustle and lots of R&R. We definitely got that! The pool was a great addition since we had some bad weather and getting out on the water wasn’t easy most of the week. It is a remote location so, if you want to be near a lot of shopping malls & chain restaurants, this is not the spot for you. It was exactly what we were looking for…quiet location with local Mom & Pop shops and restaurants. We’d definitely consider staying again.

Relaxing get away
Our visit in Reedville was extremely relaxing. Sitting on the dock in the mornings & evenings was just beautiful. We all agreed it was the best merged into one, the view of ocean but the nice calm waters of a lake. The house is very nicely sized. We had 3 family’s and there was more than enough room for all of us. The kitchen has everything needed. Personally I liked sharp knives and nice pans to cook with. Having access to paddle boards, canoe and kayaks made it easy to not worry about brining those items. We did need to contact the owners and they were extremely attentive. If you need to check out of the normal hustle and bustle, Reedviile is the place. Just a note many restaurants were not open the full week. We had a nice dinner at Sandpiper Restaurant. Bay Quest Charters provided us with a beautiful sunset cruise.

Beautiful Property
We all enjoyed our stay for the week. The house was amazing inside and out. Everyone loved the pool, screened in porch, and firepit. We were a little disappointed that the creek wasn't great fishing and even kayaking far out into the bay didn't change that as it was still relatively shallow water. However we were able to catch the occasional skate off the dock and an abundance of crab.

Vacation in Reedville
A beautiful clean home with a kitchen containing most everything you would need. We were hopeful to be able to catch fish and crabs but that didn’t work out so well. Perhaps the 100+ heat didn’t help with that. But the pool was wonderful. Fabulous sunrises and sunsets. My only regret is we could not get to the Bay. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home. We all had a great time

Beautiful Home
Beautiful home with everything you could need, kayaks, paddle boards, salt water pool, and a little sandy beach. The home was great and easily fit our three small families. The upstairs was fantastic with its own private space. The town is tiny so if you are looking for things to do or pizza to order for delivery this isn’t your place, but if you are looking to leave everything behind and hideaway with all the relaxing you could dream of this is DEFINITELY THE place for you!! Fires on the beach with a full moon Kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, games The screened in porch was a wonderful place to relax. Don’t forget your bug spray, but if you do they’ll have it for you. Everything was easily explained in the binder!! We all enjoyed our stay!!

Perfect location!!
If you are looking for somewhere that is off the beaten path, this is it! This home is absolutely beautiful and in a great location with the private beach and pool. Although we had a few cleaning issues up front, Peter worked with us immediately to rectify any issues. This home offers great amenities and great hospitality. I would definitely rent this home again!

History and Modernity cross paths.
Traveling to this modern estate on the Chesapeake Bay and Taskmaker Creek brought us into a peak of the old times from the late 18 century up to present day. The town of Reedville and it's multiple fishing fleets and Main street with the many Millionaires Mansions were worth a visit. While the restaurants are few and not always open, they are treats that must be visited. The house itself in a wonder of new proportions with it's many well appointed Bedrooms, Kitchen, Living Room, Screened in Porch, wonderful Dining Room (fantastic View of The Chesapeake Bay) and of course the Boat Dock on Taskmaker Creek (in our case --Fishing Dock) The Swimming Pool had all our family wet and satisfied (plenty of swim toys available) The Kayaks and Life Jackets, in the Garage were ready to use but we had brought our own. There was an outside Fire Pit that we did not have the opportunity to use but it's there and we did manage to use the BBQ grill for many of our meals. Our host Ms. O'Neil was very helpful and kind to our needs and answered every question and request. Overall this "Taskmaker" rental from VRBO was the perfect place for our Family of 9 and our pet Dog "Zeplin" for 7 days was PERFECT.
