Hot tubs with a view, shall I say more?
This restaurant was so much fancier than expected and absolutely lovely. It sits between a beautiful mountain and the glaciers. They have two huge hot tubs outside facing the glaciers with a beautiful view of the stars. They also have an outdoor sauna to warm up and dry off. The restaurant served some of the most delicious food I’ve ever eaten and they offer a breakfast buffet with a super wide array of choices. They have super tall ceilings and large windows to show the amazing view. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms well stocked along with complimentary robes and slippers. Could’ve stayed here for the entire vacation. Will definitely be coming back!

Great, loved this hotel and jokulsarlon is just a once in a lifetime adventure. Did an unbelievable glacier hike and ice cave tour. Wish we saw the northern lights but we were unlucky :(

Perfect and luxurious
We loved this luxurious hotel! The staff was super friendly, professional, and helpful, the rooms were comfortable and stocked with everything you might want, and the food was incredible. We had a beautiful view of the Northern Lights (with a personal "wake up" call from the staff member at the front desk) and a fun soak in the outdoor hot tub (even in December). The breakfast was wonderful too. I would give this hotel a perfect rating!

There is limited dining in the area. We just drove to the next town of Hofn. The hotel is beautiful and modern. There are hot tubs you can gaze at the stars.

Feels like it was a new property, loved the location as it was only 10 min drive from the Jokulsarlon. The property itself was beautiful, well equipped/furnished, roomy (family suite), dining at the restaurant on the second floor was great. Two hot tubs and a sauna was outside. I was not very impressed by the hot tubs as it was small for the size of the entire property and giving a strong bleach smell which doesn't match with the beautiful nature there. Still, this property was beautiful and upstairs with high ceiling glass wall gave a perfect view outside with comfy chairs/tables. The room was great with beautiful bathroom. At the coffee bar, it would've been a plus to have a sink but not a problem. I would highly recommend!

A stay of a lifetime
Everything about this hotel was impressive! The views, the entrance, the service, the rooms, the bathrooms, the saunas/ hot tubs and the restaurant! The dinner and breakfast were delicious! Breakfast is buffet style and dinner is menu styled. My husband ordered the lamb and I ordered the cod. We both enjoyed our meal. We opted for the glacier view and it did not disappoint! In fact, we were able to see brightest northern lights for a few hours overlooking the glacier. Will definitely be back when I visit Iceland again.

It a great place to stay and relax if traveling and visiting Jokulsarlon. A night stay is not enough, I would say at least 2 or 3 days. Very friendly staff. I would recomend modifying their restaurant menu though. The steak was waaaaay no appetizing. Second night we order cod and maaaan, you could tell that it was a frozen fish just warmed up and cooked. It was probably better if ther are SOUP options specially its a cold place to stay. A salad or any mediterenian dish would also be lovely. Pizza is also not a bad option. If they can add these to their menu!

Book a glacier view!
Very lovely hotel, beds & pillows were very, very comfy. Shower was great & toiletries provided. Spa facilities were great although the largest robe they do is L which means you have to walk through the hotel , reception & bar area with your swim wear & body on view if you are a larger person ( i did ask reception and they said none were available). Mountain view room is disappointing as it overlooks the car park so book the glacier view. Room was small with 3 single beds. We were disappointed not to have a small fridge in the room. TV welcome message had someone else's name on it.
