This was our first visit to Richmond so we had no clue which neighborhood would be best for us but we really lucked out staying at Christian's. The off-street parking made it easy to hop in the car and five or ten minutes later be at the VFMA, Carytown, or Hollywood Cemetery. It would have easy to get to one of the battle sites, but for some of us the Civil War Museum was enough (it's definitely worth a visit for the folks who are not into the musket and bayonet stuff).
The apartment was one of the best we've stayed in. The appliances are new and everything works. The master bedroom was large, the bed was comfortable, and the walk-in closet was an added bonus. Because there was only the two of us, we didn't use the second bedroom but I'm willing to bet that bed is good too.
The best part of the experience was Christian. He was always available to answer our many questions, and he was very patient explaining to an old Boomer how a Nest thermostat works.
All in all, our visit to Richmond was wonderful, and having Christian as our host was a large part of that.
