Spacious Chalet with Ski-in / Ski-out
This chalet is situated directly adjacent to the piste leading to the main gondola in La Tzoumaz. A double garage, ski and boot room with dryers, a hot tub on the deck, magnificent hanging fireplace and walk in larder were appreciated additional features.
The layout features three bedrooms (two en-suite), bathroom, sauna, laundry room (washing machine and dryer) on the lower level, with the hot tub outside. The main level is taken up by a very spacious living/dining/kitchen area with panoramic views over the mountains and a guest toilet. The upper level features the large master bedroom with en suite bathroom.
The chalet is generally well appointed, but notably the build quality of the fitted furniture (cupboards and kitchen) seem somewhat lower than the rest. The blinds in master bedroom and one of the downstairs bedrooms did not work at all upon arrival, but were mostly fixed the next day.
The kitchen is fully equipped and even had sharp(!) knives, unusual in a rented property.
La Tzoumaz is on the northern aspect of the ridge and hence gets no sun after about 2:45pm in mid February. This makes the large deck and nearby apres-ski bar less attractive, but it was beneficial to snow quality in a week with a lot of sun and no new snow.
The property is marketed and priced as a luxury chalet, you should probably be thinking 4* rather than 5* luxury to set expectations correctly.
