Our stay was such an amazing time. The views of the sunset and the garden with the walking path was so enjoyable that we are planning to stay In the cottage for our next anniversary!!! 10 stars isn't enough.
We had a wonderful time staying at this wonderful cottage. Bruce, the host, makes you feel very welcomed and we would definitely stay here again. Would give more stars if possible.
Overall a great 6day trip. Gravel drive way is good for cars and trucks, not great for full size motorcycles. It's up hill with a tight 90 degree turn. The place is small and cute. kitchette is minimal with small counter, little fridge, microwave, toater oven, toaster and 2 place electric hotplate. small sink is shared by the bathroom in the transistion hallway. Bathroom had a good size stall shower and plenty of hot water. we enjoyed the seating outside overlooking the valley. Most of the day was spent out doing local stuff. Hiking, site seeing and riding the paved roads.
There is no "grocery Store" close. Family dollar was a decent substitute for basic stuff.
they have a smart TV and access to all the app.
Hiking was great - 4miles around 2 rock formations above oak creek village and around slide rock in oak creek canyon. rode close to 500 miles on the scenic roads in the area. Recommend 89a from flagstaff to prescot. breakfast in flagstaff at Mike and rhoda's "the place" to start. they close at 2pm. we had lunch in Jerome at "Haunted Hamber". a few other options for lunch. Cool history.
we did the verde canyon rail road trip. 4hrs with lunch and a small dish of cheese, meat, crackers, fruit and brownie.
check the weather - there is outside open areas but may be hot or cold depending.
.
Only recommendtaion would be more towels. 2 full size per person would have been better. they may have been there, but i didnt see any more. I did not ask so there may have been more.
The cottage was absolutely perfect, and the panoramic view of mountains and the sunrise/sunset were even better. Super cozy sleeping/living quarters. Lake Montezuma is very quiet and has even less light pollution than Sedona. We stayed here and drove 30 minutes to Sedona to hike and explore, we will definitely be coming back to this spot when we're back in the area. Hosts were fantastic.
A small cottage that has everything you could want, but the garden and the views provide a a peace that you didn't expect. A great place for a getaway. The owners were very responsive as well.
We used this as our base while visiting Arizona. Quite a small cottage, but we were not there to hang out inside. And for the price, it was everything we needed. The hosts were in communication to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The property is well maintained and peaceful. We highly recommend Hilltop Haven properties!
I have been to this little cottage with my pup twice now and absolutely love it! The hosts are so kind and make sure that our stay is comfortable and accommodating every time. This is definitely my go-to spot when wanting a little trip up north! Very cozy and the views are AMAZING! So peaceful
The property is beautifully landscaped with a seating area facing the vast mountain views. Very quiet and lots of wildlife! I spotted a couple of deer in the wee morning hours. It was a great stay, highly recommend!
Extremely quiet, cozy and peaceful accommodations. Hosts are very friendly and communicative. Fell in love the moment we pulled up before evening walking in. Can't wait to come back.
It was fantastic the place is beautiful. Everything about the home Garden the views. Were outstanding. Peace and quiet out in the middle of nowhere. There are no stores or restaurants close by so u do need to pick stuff up.
A quaint property atop of a hill with a vast view of the flatlands before the mountain ranges. The neighborhood is very remote, 30 minutes from Sedona. The cottage has all of the typical studio rental amenities like cooking supplies, sitting area, and towels, plus they had a portable bathroom heater, chairs in the garden facing the sunset, and a great from porch. The hosts were especially friendly and thoughtful. The property vibe was safe, serene, and warm.
We had a lovely time staying at the cottage and using it as a base for exploring the Sedona area and other nearby towns. The hosts were helpful and kind, and the cottage itself is quaint and warm. Highly recommend!
great little cottage, quiet neighborhood, good location for my needs. beautiful sunsets. liked the privacy. listing was accurate and hosts were available if needed. kitchen stocked with basics. freezer did not fully freeze. kitchen sink was bathroom sink. a somewhat steep hill/gravel road to get to house but once up, flat and easy to access.
Great property! Clean, well maintained, comfortable. Great internet. Kitchen and cooking took a little bit of work to maximize but there were lots of options available for meal prep A small freezer would be a welcome addition.
Wow! What a gem and we hope to return. The little cottage is comfortable and has everything you need to hermit. Well appointed kitchen, comfortable furnishings and cool stuff to browse, fast wifi, a great bed! We loved the privacy, the magical illuminated garden with a view, and the superb access to area attractions, which almost seemed like an aside. We checked out Montezuma's Well, got in the river at Red Rock and drove the 89A up to Slide Rock and the DQ! Thanks for sharing your little slice of heaven!
I had a wonderful stay at this property, I really enjoyed the quiet and peaceful surroundings. To wake each day and hear the doves singing was wonderful. I even enjoyed the rain and wind storm.
