If the FBI showed up before we arrived and did a forensic search for DNA evidence of any previous guests in this house, they would've come up completely empty. Stacy, who cleans the unit, is freakin' amazing! I've never seen any space so clean, and I am picky!
The house is smallish - cozy for 4 people sharing a bathroom - but it's set up nicely and it's comfy. Excellent software (mattresses, sheets, towels, etc. A++), pretty good hardware (kitchen cooking tools, serving stuff and appliances) but needs a real coffee maker and a tea kettle of some sort.
The reason to stay here is location, and the deck. You are easy walking distance to the middle of Rockaway's activities and businesses. Highly recommend the Rockaway Beach Market and Grocery - far better than any "convenience store" you might be expecting.
Even though the deck is shared between the two sides of the duplex, it's a very inviting, "private," outdoor space (suggest you check out the North side of the duplex if you want the larger side of the deck). Having the space on the deck made the house seem less small because we could always gather outside. But, there is no real deck furniture, so if you want to sit comfy outside, pack your favorite camp chairs. You are just a short hop over the dune from the beach. We liked that the dune protected the deck from the wind, still gave us some peak-a-boo views of the ocean on the horizon and full-views af gorgeous sunsets, and we were close enough to enjoy the sounds of the surf.
