My 3 young adult sons, my husband, and myself were looking for a location that would bring us within driving distance of totality for the solar eclipse on April 8th. We needed to bring our 4 year old dog who is used to some freedom with an invisible fence at home. This property had plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, and hang out rooms for us all to have our space. The land was beautiful and enough for us to take the dog out without worrying about neighbors being bothered, traffic, and the dog running away. We did not have the opportunity to take advantage of all the wood left for fireplace and fire pits or the hot tub. Wish he had! We did get in a game of scrabble. A couple of notes: the main bedroom has windows from the sunroom (which is lovely) which will bring in early light to the room. Most of the rooms did not seem to have curtains that will block the sun from waking you up.A few of the linens seemed to be in need of replacement with a dirt stain on sheets and towels. The codes to the lockbox took some communications back and forth and several tries before we could initially get in. Having said that, I found the host to be quickly responsive whenever we needed to contact.
