Once we got in, great place!
Had to request check-in info 24 hrs prior to check-in, as had not had any further communication since reservation acceptance. Did not receive check in instructions until late day of check in. VRBO app and platform were not functioning at least 24 hrs before an up through time of check-in, including any avenue of “ contact us”; VRBO message apologizing for any inconvenience. Definitely inconvenienced, with host and renter not being able to communicate, with 85 yr old mother in tow in TX heat. Finally found a phone number imbedded, VRBO had to contact host, who contacted me. Bottom line: host should have provided me with check-in info DAYS before. There were outages day of and day before that were out of our control, but leaving this info until last minute is not acceptable. Also suggest setting up alternate communication pathway in case online failure.
Lynn’s place was peaceful and beautiful. Beds were very comfortable!! Kitchen (was gorgeous) had ample set up to be able to cook. Location was perfect to be able to connect with other family members staying in area, convenient to many attractions as stated in listing. It would have been more restful if more substantial window coverage at night; neighbor had motion sensor light that was very bright.
The communication issues and VRBO platform are why rating lower. Incidentally, or maybe not so incidentally, last time I used VRBO there were platform issues. Where are all the fees going?
