The unit is in a good location (close to Little Italy), but the street this unit is located on (Ash) smells like urine from either dogs or people without shelter.
Check-in is easy, but the unit is located on the ground floor so you have to keep the blinds shut otherwise people can see straight in unless you close the blackout curtains. At night, you walk into complete darkness and feel around for the light switch behind the door on the far right wall while your eyes adjust. Clap-on or smart lights would come in handy.
As other reviewers have said, you also hear EVERYTHING. It was nice that the owners provided earplugs, but even with those in at night, we could hear the neighbors above walking around, every word of conversations from people walking by, street cleaners sweeping or spraying the streets, TV/movie dialog from other units in the building, sirens from emergency vehicles, exhaust systems from cars driving by, dogs barking and more. If you can fall asleep, don't expect high-quality sleep. This is probably the noisiest place I've ever rented from any VRBO-type site.
Once you're in the unit, there's a bed, a desk, a mini fridge and table with an "espresso" maker, a few places to sit, a mirror, and a full (but small) bathroom. There is no kitchen. We were also given a single roll of the world's thinnest, single-layer toilet paper so don't forget to bring your own.
If it weren't for the noise, I'd stay here again, but otherwise, I'm staying elsewhere.
