Great cabin for a couple of family!

Had a lot of fun checking out the waterfalls in the area. The cabin had a great hot tub and located in a quiet area. Great amenities too!

Wonderful cabin!

My mom and I stayed here with our two dogs for a week long getaway and we had a fantastic time! The cabin is beautiful and I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a cleaner rental! The floors were immaculately clean which is very impressive for a pet friendly cabin. It is also in a great location and the roads to the cabin are a lot of fun if you aren’t afraid of dirt roads! The neighborhood was wonderful for walking our dogs and we even found a little waterfall about a mile from the cabin.

Wife’s 30th birthday

The cabin is beautiful and was pretty clean on the inside. The bottom porch string lights and ceiling fan lights did not work. Was told to reset gfi which is behind the hot tub making it very difficult to get to. The man of the other couple with us is a certified electrician and came to conclusion that the breaker needed to be tripped but we couldn’t find breaker box so never got to use those lights. The damper to the fireplace got stuck closed so we couldn’t have a fire in the living room. The bathtub upstairs drains slowly as well. But Other than that we really enjoyed ourselves and love the cabin. If they get those lights fixed and the fireplace damper to open we would definitely want to stay their again

We had a wonderful time. The cabin was incredible. Everyone loved it. We were close enough to Helen to enjoy all the Christmas festivities and then go back to a quiet place. Everything was “great”. Definitely would stay there again.

Loved the cabin so very much, just be prepared for a gravel road that is bumpy and not good for a car or vehicle you don’t want to drive up steep gravel hills lol. The cabin was EXCEPTIONAL with everything g you need !! Thank you so much!!!

Great Cabin

Property is an excellent choice for a family getaway. We had 4 adults, 2 children, and 2 dogs; plenty of room for everyone. Due to the gravel narrow road into the property, arriving before dark is a good idea.Plenty of firewood available for use in the fireplace and outdoor firepit.

Perfect Family Cabin

We enjoyed our stay at the Great Escape Cabin. Location is a short drive to Helen, tubing, Anna Ruby Falls as well as various hiking trails. Located in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of privacy. Cabin was clean and had all basic necessities. Would highly recommend if you are looking for something close to attractions yet wanting an escape into the woods.

Nice cabin close to Helen

The cabin is cozy in a great location and exactly as described. The cabin can hold 9, but it was just my spouse and I. We thought the cleaning fee of $185 was steep for just two of us who used one bed and one bathroom. Still it was very nice. We could not find the lights to the back porch so it was tricky getting to and from the fire pit. We could have called the host who is very responsive based on other reviews. The games and amenities were great! You cannot burn any candles and although well stocked with battery powered candles, none of them worked probably because of dead batteries. Bring some button batteries or ask the host to refresh them. We recommend for a great stay. The fall colors were at peak, really great!

Great property

The cabin was absolutely amazing, extremely clean on the inside, and very cozy. Me and my family had a fantastic time with our dog. Our only complaint is that the outside area required more attention, as it was covered in spiderwebs and leaves, showing that it has been a while since it was cleaned. We did not even use the outside due to this issue. The inside of the cabin was a 10/10 The outside of the cabin was 6/10

Great family getaway

We stayed here for a few days with our 6 & 3 year old children. Great house for a family with children. The kids loved the games and toys at the house & never got theirs out. The house was very clean inside and out. We highly recommend and our kids are already asking to go back to the “log cabin”!

Peaceful Cabin in the woods (great for kids)

Our family had a fantastic time at the cabin. The location is an easy 15 mins drive to Helen. Close to great kid friendly trails. We saw deer cross the road in front of the cabin. The hot tub and fire pit were the perfect way to end the day. The internet and TV were great for family movie time and the game room helped keep kids entertained while we cooked dinner. The host was super responsive. I can’t wait to visit North Georgia Mountains again.

We had a lovely time last week at The Great Escape cabin.

Beautiful location that felt quiet and secluded, as we wanted, but is just a few minute drive to Helen, restaurants and activities. The kitchen was very well stocked although we didn’t cook - we were on vacation! Loved the fire pit and the kids loved the hot tub and Pac-Man machine. Great experience.

Perfect Relaxing Cabin near Helen

My wife and I just finished our stay at the cabin. It was perfect! It is a great location close to Helen and the surrounding areas. The cabin is nestled into a hillside that provides great privacy and a good, peaceful view from the porches. There are other cabins in the area, but we could not see them from any of the outdoor spaces on the property. The cabins in the area are spaced out to give each one their own privacy. The cabin is stocked with things to do as shown in the pictures - hot tub, fire pit, games, Foosball, cornhole, classic video game console, etc. The cabin is a short drive into Helen to enjoy the quaint mountain town and its offerings. My wife and I found the cabin to be very peaceful and relaxing while offering options for entertainment if you choose to not leave the cabin. To get to the cabin, there is a small stretch of dirt/gravel roads that go uphill that we were not aware of before booking. We feel it is important to mention this. This is not a huge deal as our Hyundai Veloster (small 2wd car) made it back and forth from the cabin without any problems. The uphill dirt/gravel road would not be suitable for all vehicles, but most vehicles and drivers experienced on hills/mountains and dirt roads will be fine. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay in the Helen area. The cabin provides a private, peaceful retreat to enjoy nature, relax and spend time with your loved ones. The cabin is great for couples and families alike.

Perfect Cabin

This cabin is perfect. As soon as we drove up and walked in we felt right at home. It also is a very short drive into Helen, so we spent a lot of time enjoying the Ocktoberfest festivities. I highly recommend this cabin, and we will definitely return as a family. All the kids loved the cabin!

So clean and new

We were so impressed by the cabin. It felt like we were in a tree house. It was so very clean, everything in it was in excellent shape and there were so many thoughtful details all over. The kids loved the triple bunk beds. It was the perfect amount of space for us. The host was so prompt and helpful at communicating. I would definitely recommend you stay here! *Only thing I would add is if you have a toddler (we have a young son in a wheelchair), the stairs going down to the second level are tempting and would be an easy, hard fall on wood stairs. We brought a standard baby gate, but it did not fit that space. Just something a parent might want to know! Otherwise - incredible, gorgeous cabin.

Great place for a trip with the kid and grandma!

I booked a weekend getaway for my 7-year old son and my mother - we also brought my small dog! The cabin was more room than we needed with two full sized bedrooms and 4 bunk beds. My son loved the arcade machine and hot tub. The hot tub was fully functional and very clean, we got in it twice a day! Full kitchen was great, sitting on the decks outside was relaxing! Getting into Helen from the cabin, you can go one of two ways - which was nice depending on where you were heading (to avoid traffic in town). Cabin is very secluded but still easy to get to! We would 100% stay here again.
