First and foremost, we had a wonderful time. The property is gorgeous and is at a central location to conveniently visit all NE Georgia has to offer. We went on many waterfalls hikes, tubing, trout fishing, peach picking, and spent many hours fishing off the back patio. The house is tastefully decorated and roomy enough for my husband and I and our four young children. We all had a wonderful time!!!
These are a few things I wish I had known.
1. The house is located right on a main and very busy road. The road noise is constant even through the night. This did detract quite a bit from the ability to relax and feel like you're "away from it all."
2. The kitchen, while gorgeous and filled with beautiful appliances, is stocked with the absolute lowest quality pots, pans, and accessories. It really made the cooking experience miserable. It was that bad!!! If you plan on cooking, you'll also need to bring any and all spices/oils/staples you'll need including salt and pepper.
3. There is a picture showing a "children's area" with kids sitting on a cabbage patch throne. There is no children's area in the house so maybe the picture label should be changed. The house has no board games, video games, or anything else to entertain kids so if you're planning a stay make sure you bring something in case it's rainy! To be fair, there is a lot for kids to do outside though!
As mentioned, we did have a great time! The owner was very sweet, helpful, and a great communicator.
