This is my first time staying at the Grove. The room itself was clean. The bed was comfortable. The amenities were simple but fine. The problem was I was on the first floor that backed up to the alley for four hours every 10 to 15 minutes. It felt like the police were right in my room with the ambulance noises in the police sirens and the firetruck sirens that never stopped And then at 5:30 in the morning the garbage truck was literally 2 feet out my window and dumping garbage cans for 30 minutes I wouldn’t come back because it was so loud. If incredibly excessive noise doesn’t bother you. It’s a great place to stay.

The young woman that checked us it was lovely: sweet, friendly, and helpful. When I reserve a room with a queen bed, I expect a queen bed. This room had a full-size bed (54" wide), and when I mentioned this to the front desk person, she insisted that it was a queen. Be advised that rooms are only serviced once every third day, unless you ask for more. Finally, the woman caring for the free breakfast seemed to be working hard on getting a tip. She was overly invasive and kept pushing us to take fruit. If we had wanted the fruit, we would have taken it at the serving table.

Cute spot; great location

Great For A Short Stay
On the plus side, the staff is wonderful, and the beds are comfortable. Theres also a full sized mini fridge (not the teeny bar type ones that only hold 1 soda can and a cheese stick) and a keurig coffe maker. On the downside, no elevator (in case that matters, request a 1st floor room), very small rooms, no phone, only 4 hangers and no dresser or place to unpack your things. Great for a 1 night stay, quite inconvenient for 2 women (4 bags) for 5 days. As it's close to where my family lives and is, in fact, the only hotel in West Seattle, we've often stayed here before and will again. I just feel it's better for an overnight than a longer trip.

I liked that it was very close to my job and it was very convenient in price. The only thing was the room did not have the microwave in it, and a few nats in the bathroom, other than that I would definately stay here again.

Great little Motel. Very Clean!
I stayed at The Grove Hotel and it truly exceeded my expectations. The hotel was incredibly clean, without any strong cleaning odors. The beds were comfortable, even the bedding was softer than most other hotels I’ve stayed in. The staff went above and beyond with their helpfulness and kindness at checkin and the few times I had questions. Their hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable. The location was perfect for people who enjoy walking. It was close enough for us to walk to the downtown area, with plenty of shops and restaurants. We kept our car parked at the hotel and had no issues with vandalism. I felt the car was well protected because the parking is so close to the rooms themselves. The only downside was its proximity to a Veterans Center, which had the appearance of a homeless camp. That said, we walked by it multiple times during our stay and never encountered any issues. We felt safe the entire time. For reference we are women in our early 40s. I should note the street noise at night is LOUD and there is a fire station across the street that had trucks with sirens multiple times throughout the night. Bring earplugs if you want a good night sleep! Overall, I’d recommend The Grove Hotel for anyone looking for a budget-friendly, clean, and well-located option with exceptional service!

Bus stop outside the hotel provides a 15 min bus ride right to the T-mobile arena! Staff we’re incredibly friendly and the makeup wipes they had in the rooms were AMAZING.

Nice location, quiet and plenty of parking. Walkable to many dining options. The property has been upgraded in certain things, and not so in other areas. The rooms are nice and clean, good bedding. The bathroom didn't seem like it had been upgraded in quite some time. The toilet was super small. The showerhead was small and low flowing. There was no fan in the bathroom, but a small window in the shower that could open. All in all, good value for the money. I would stay here again.
