Two couples joined my wife and I for an extended weekend getaway at the Livin Lodge. We chose the cabin based on pictures, past reviews and the location being central to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville.
The pictures of the inside were fairly accurate but the enclosed porch with the hot tub had a musty smell and this was the first time we stayed at a cabin where the hot tub wasn't outside. During our stay the pump on the hot tub started making a loud noise like it was getting ready to burn up. I tried removing the disconnect that I found in the crawl space under the deck but when I restarted the hot tub the same noise returned. We felt it was best to discontinue use of the hot tub for fear of further damage. I also observed water trickling out of the wall from the showerhead in the master bathroom. Both issues were reported to the management company.
Outside, the cabin needs a bit of TLC. There is damage from carpenter bees and it's time for some new stain and paint. No safety issues but the pictures were not very recent. Also, the fire pit area that we looked forward to using was much smaller than we anticipated and no firewood was provided.
Overall, it was a great stay and we made some wonderful memories. Just be forewarned that the cabin is a little run down compared to the pictures.
