My boyfriend and I ended our road trip here before heading home and it was the perfect ending to a long trip. The cabin was clean and cozy and had everything we needed to make meals and even games to play on a rainy afternoon. It was extremely peaceful and the hot tub was a nice touch especially with a view of the mountains. The cabin is in the mountains obviously.. so a truck or other large vehicle is needed to get up and down the mountain and in the steep driveway. This thankfully was not an issue for us.
The road to the cabin was the problemâŠ..could not safely maneuver the road due to the size and weight of my husbandâs truck so we did not stay at the cabin at all. Tried to get a different cabin with no success so we ended up going home. Have tried to get at least a partial refunded and have had no success as they keep telling us there were no issues with the cabin which we completely agreeâŠit was the unsafe conditions of the road to the cabin. Our truck was sliding backwards as we were trying to maneuver up the road and sliding as we were coming down the road.
Very peaceful nobody around enjoyed our stay. Bed was uncomfortable. They rode to the cabin if thatâs what you wanna call it was horrible but we had a great time.
Driveway is horrible yard smelled like septic tank. Internet didnt work. Shower got water everywhere and the bed was horribly uncomfortable we slept on the pullout sofa
When the listing mentions 4WD for your car - they mean it!! You are truly away from civilization here, which made it a fantastic getaway for us and our dogs. The space is more than adequate for us, and great outdoor area.
The drive up the mountain to this truly secluded cabin is definitely best completed in daylight. Very steep, curving, narrow path to the top. Great view and had everything we needed. The bed however is extremely uncomfortable so we choose the pullout sofa after our first night. Also the soaker tub/ shower combo is very awkward to use, I would have preferred a stand alone shower.
Fit all our needs, was a beautiful drive to all the local attractions. The cabin was great for our family, and we enjoyed the hot tub views of the mountains. The drive way is a bit crazy like others have stated BUT nothing you canât do and itâs totally worth it. Over all we really enjoyed our long weekend away!
First of all, the road up to the cabin is horrible. A two wheeled vehicle would have a time. If it rains, you better have a four-wheel drive or you are in trouble. The cabin is small but, cozy. If it were me, I would ditch the tub and install a stand-up shower. With the shower curtains touching you all around it is hard to maneuver. My wife swept the floors when we got there and got a pile of dirt. The dishes, fridge and utensils were clean. Grass and/or weeds had not been cut in a while. With a small dog, that was a problem. The door access code did not work so we had to use a key. The doors are not very secure. The picnic table area is a nice touch. Do not pick this cabin if you want a view. There is only 1 spot with a small view.Overall rating, a 3.
The road and driveway were very steep and took a few tries in 4 wheel drive. We almost didnât stay even though it was already paid for. I killed 3 large spiders inside the cabin. The tub was impossible for older members of our group to use. Very small space would be better for 2 people.
We did see a young bear the last day that we were there.
We would not stay there again.
Never again bed was hard as a rock had to fight bugs while we slept and i road we traveled to get there was horrible need a 4x4 if not wet on dry road a mess never again
Wowww, the drive way was crazy but so well worth it! The stay was amazing with everything you need, the bathroom is a little small but manageable. Me and my husband had a wonderful time with our fur baby:) very secluded but the views are amazing, about 30-40 mins away from Gatlinburg and Pigeon forge, we will most definitely be back!
We stayed here for our one year anniversary and it was lovely! The cabin had everything we needed and was very cozy. The drive up the mountain side was a little sketchy but we got used to it quickly. Overall a great place!
Great view an definitely a cozy peaceful getaway for two
I read reviews of the drive up an was hesitant on renting. But as they say if you want a view you must go up⊠That you definitely do! Itâs literally on the top! But OH THE VIEW! IF you are a skittish driver then I wouldnât recommend as the drive up could make one very nervous. Specially in the dark. We didnât get to spend to much time at the cabin. We wanted to do an see to much this time around in such short time. It was as exactly how it described in the ad. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a very cozy peaceful getaway for two! Specially the sunrise/sunset sitting on the porch. Sadly I only got to view one of each. Just a few thingsâŠ. We tried to make a pizza in the oven an that was a no go! The oven never heated up hot enough even after an hour it never cooked (barely melting cheese). We had a cold night as it was a bit complicated trying to figure out the heating unit. First night we couldnât wait to get back to relax after a long day of walking. Only to find that the couch was not the comfiest to settle into an watch a movie. An no pizzaâŠ. overall Iâd still recommend an Iâd most likely stay again!
The driveway is Steep, and the road to the cabin was a little scary at first. But once you go up and down it a few times it's not that bad. The place was beautiful and perfect for our honeymoon!
Very cute one room cabin. Very clean. Great WiFi reception. The driveway leading up to the cabin is very steep. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is recommended. The bathtub is taller than most, so it was a little harder to step/climb into the tub with bad knees/hips. The cabin is about a 25 minute drive into Pigeon Forge. Gps made it very easy to get around. We enjoyed our stay.
This property was amazing! It is very small, but they make good use of the space. It has a full size kitchen and even a washer and dryer! The bath tub is amazing and so is the view. You are every secluded and can be one with nature. It is a little drive to Pigeon Forge, but the scenery is worth it!
Overall, this is a good little place. The bathroom is not the best in our opinion. The bathtub looks large but is very difficult to bathe in. But, given the size of the entire cabin, it was ok. I would definitely consider just putting a walk in shower. Only real complaint is that we were only left one washcloth for 4 quests. Probably a simple mistake. 40 minute drive from the PF strip.
