I was traveling with kids and looking for a relatively inexpensive, basic, non-Instragramable place to stay, and I chose this place based on the favorable reviews. It was a major disappointment, and my experience was very different from those in the other reviews. Lightning was very poor, including floor lamps without knobs and low wattage bulbs. This is a big deal in a town with 16 hours of nighttime. The kitchen is extremely small, with about three feet of partial countertop, crammed into a corner up against the refrigerator. The dishes and silverware weren't clean and several had food from the last guests still stuck to them. Cabinets in the bathroom were coming apart. There was no central heat, only a stove in the living room and space heaters everywhere else. It mostly hasn't been rewired to support three pronged lamps and things, so there are power strips for most electric outlets, which is a fire hazard, a trip hazard, and also unsightly. There's no table or desk, only a kind of breakfast bar area that has cabinets under it so there's no space for your legs. The owner took several days to respond to one query, and more than a day to respond to another. It's also half of a duplex, which isn't mentioned in the listing. I happened to meet the owner when she came to pick up a couple packages that had been sent there, albeit more than 24 hours after delivery, and she seemed nice. But that's about the only positive thing I can say about this place.
