Greetings,
I’m writing from New York and recently stayed at the property. I didn't realize there was no air conditioning—I should have paid closer attention to the ad. Unfortunately, the fans provided didn't help much, especially for my kids, who ended up sleeping on the floor because of the heat. Each room had a ceiling fan, but they seemed to blow hot air. The standing fans that were placed in the rooms also didn’t make a significant difference. As a result, my children were quite restless.
While the overall property was okay, there were a few other issues. The water pressure was very low, and although the ad mentioned a tub, there wasn’t one. On a positive note, the owner was very responsive to messages, which was appreciated.
There were also a lot of mosquitoes, which I expected, but the screens and sprays provided didn’t seem to help. We kept the doors closed, yet still, everyone got bitten the first night. The mosquito curtain on the door had several tears, and one of the dining room windows didn’t have a screen at all.
The house also had a minimal number of outlets, which was inconvenient for a group of 8. The living room had none, the dining room had two (but the TV used one), and the kitchen had two (one taken by the microwave or toaster).
Would I stay here again? Yes, but only if there’s air conditioning, improved water pressure, and more outlets to accommodate a larger group.
I’ve been to this country many times over the past two years, more than 10 times in
