This newly renovated house was perfect for our multi-generational group. The Villa is right on the main road with an easily accessible circular drive with plenty of space for both our rental vehicles. There was some traffic noise, but it was not constant or overly disruptive. The house is beautiful inside and out with very nice finishes, furnishings and outdoor plantings.
The kitchen was outfitted with everything we needed including a nice welcome basket when we arrived with some tasty goodies. Coolers, sturdy comfortable beach chairs and beach towels were also provided as well as travel sized shampoo, conditioner, soap, body wash and lotion. The living room was a great place to watch the evening sunsets (and movies on the huge TV) after our long days of exploring the island.
We loved and took advantage of all the outdoor areas. Multiple covered balconies and porches with comfortable furniture, plus the outdoor eating space and pool area allowed enough opportunities for everyone to find their own quiet spots around the villa as well as areas to congregate.
There is A/C in all the rooms, but we only turned it on a couple of times. We much preferred to have the big sliding doors open with the breeze flowing through the rooms.
The kids had fun keeping tabs on the iguanas hanging out in the trees behind the villa and watching the mama hen and her chicks. We also had a visit from an egret and a deer during our stay.
A Couple picky little things: a few more hooks in bathrooms/outdoor shower area/pool area would have been nice to hang up wet suits and towels to dry. A few more spices and other kitchen staples would be helpful too. Maybe these things will build up as more people rent the villa and leave things behind.
JP was easy to work with and he gave us ideas of places to eat and things to see as well as good travel info.
We'll definitely be back to St. John and hopefully we'll be lucky enough to be able to stay here again!
