Overall it was obvious that the owner took a great deal of time and care in designing the space. We had some issues with the bedroom TV not working, but set our own TV up without issues. The owner was very communicative early on with assisting with the TV and stove top. She offered to come to the property to fix the TV but we declined her offer. The location suited our needs while we renovated our new home. I would recommend instructions on the use of some of the items provided/installed at the property but overall, it was a good experience.
My husband and I stayed for one month. We did not have a comfortable place to sit in the living room. There was not a stove/oven for cooking. It is a countertop burner that was hard to use and a large toaster oven for other cooking. The bedroom did not have dressers for clothes. The bed was very comfortable. There are no lamps so has to use overhead lights. Bathroom curtain kept falling off and place for towels feel off the wall. They did come to fix that after a couple of days. Our bike was stolen so the neighborhood is sketchy. Tried to contact host and never heard back from her. Very very disappointiing
The overall house was fine for our long weekend in Clearwater. It was conveniently located to where we needed to be in Clearwater and the host was very responsive. There was a slight cigarette smell which was unexpected since it is listed as a non-smoking rental.
I had to live stay there for a time due to storm damage to my home. It was clean, comfortable and close to a lot of places including the beach. Recommended
Positives: Bed was comfortable. Inside was clean and nicely decorated. Kitchenette was adequate but equipment very minimal and cheap.
Location has great access to the bike path and both downtown Dunedin and Clearwater and the Blue Jays stadium.
Negatives: outdoor space was unusable and ugly. Yard is just awful weeds. Right on a busy intersection with a traffic light so very noisy. Jacuzzi was not the one in the picture but rather a big blow-up with a blue tarp collecting rain water. Astroturf patchwork on the ground. And the chair cushions hold rainwater and always wet.
Bathroom is very small. Toilet is not secured to the floor and shower curtain kept falling down. Dangerous pointy shelf over the sink and nowhere to hang wet towels. No bedside lights in the bedroom for reading and nothing but overheads in the living room either. Not cozy.
I had trouble with the door lock and water pressure which they did fix. Had to ask for a new grill as the one when I arrived was grossly crusted with old food. No grill utensils. Not a place where you would want to hang out.
The property was just okay. I was pretty worried about the neighborhood, the fact that the gate leading into the backyard can be accessed by the next door neighbor, the window on that side in the back that was hidden was unlocked and the front door has no security latches. Anyone who has the access code can walk in at any time. There's no deadbolt, door chain or any kind of security lock like you would see on a hotel door and I don't know how often the security code is changed but obviously the owner and the management company have access at all times.
The property was very basic. Sheer curtains in the living room, no extra pillows or blankets. The TV in the bedroom is tiny and the remote didn't work so I had to use my laptop to watch anything. The couch bed was very outdated and uncomfortable. The bed in the room is on wheels and hard, it was like sleeping on a board.
Not a good value for the location and lack of amenities.
The property was clean but that's about the only positive thing I got out of it.
I would not stay at this property again.
Location is central to spring training fields, downtown Dunedin and Clearwater beaches. Duplex property, updated decor and furnishings.
Note: if you are a non-smoker, the previous owner smoked inside. The scent is noticeable if you are sensitive to smells (especially in the bedroom when youâre ready to fall asleep). Unfortunately, this was not stated above nor have any reviews been written. If I had known this up front, we would have passed on this property. This property does have potential, once they can get the lingering smell gone. The smell is so noticeable I immediately reach out to owner stating it was not us! She was aware and let me know itâs been an issue they are trying to clear up. We cut our stay short, couldnât find alternate accommodations and ended up home early rewashing all of our clothes! Not how we planned our Spring Break! đ
