We had several major issues and inconveniences and maintained daily communication with a local Property Manager (PM) regarding each of these issues. The property overall was not in well-kept condition, was deteriorating, and had several issues, even upon arrival, as though it was not ready for guests at all.
I’ve highlighted a FEW issues due to character limits in this review:
- Airport Xfer was incl in the listing but it was not indicated that it would be for 1 airport Xfer and charged CASH for others before we coordinated for airport pick
up/house Xfer. This left 2 of our guests in a precarious situation with a driver demanding $50 cash
- Pool cleaning was communicated that it would be every other day). The pool guy came one time on our third day, only after we complained to PM that it was dirty and it clearly looked like it hadnt been cleaned in some time. That was the only time that the pool was serviced in our 6-day stay.
- The housekeeping services were supposed to be daily according to the listing and according to the listing and the PM. But in fact, the home was not cleaned each day,
trash was not removed from rooms, beds were not made each day,etc. [There was one day that we refused service as after I let PM know that housekeeping had not ever visited the home, he then responded later that she was going to make a visit, but it was much after 5p and we let PM know that we did not want the maid to come by then)
- The AC in the downstairs bedroom near the deck was not on Wifi connection the entire time we were there.
- Upon arrival, the downstairs bedroom by the deck was not set up to receive guests. PM had to actually make up the room while we waited.
- The Downstairs bedroom near the deck did not have adequately working AC during the entire stay. We communicated this to PM each day. On our final day, there was a maintenance person there replacing an AC unit in its entirety - too late for us
- The same bedroom did not have a working TV. PM brought down a small tv and dvd player but was unable to resolve the Dish connection or provide a hooked up TV to that room
- The same bedroom had a broken shower door handle that prevented access; we reported it to PM on day1 and he fixed it the next day
- The jeep was a part of the rental package, but we were not informed until 60 min before landing/arriving regarding lack of availability and even when we arrived, there was NO plan to resolve the transpo concerns and we had to repeatedly ask
