We had the most wonderful three nights in this lovely place with stunning views of Loch Katherine.
Apartment, on two levels, is beautiful, comfortable and very well equipped for families to spend their holidays - whether it's sunny or rainy.
Location is just amazing, on the bank of a beautiful loch. You can admire sunrises and sunsets from the apartment without the bother from midgies.
It takes 35 minutes on a narrow road from Aberfoyle to get here, so get stocked up at a shop.
There are other visitors staying in the village (which is more like a croft) but everyone is relaxed and friendly.
We used the kitchen to cook two dinners and all breakfasts and it was as if we were at home. Fully equipped kitchen and lovely table for six to enjoy the meals.
The sitting area on the other side (with beautiful loch view) has ample space for sitting and/or watching TV or video. We used the DVD collection and found some fun films to enjoy.
There are also plenty of books to read or board games to play so you won't get bored on a rainy day.
One disappointment, not connected with the owners whatsoever, was that the local peer cafe was closed (despite info online that it opens on Fri and Sat night). We did look forward to going out there. In the end we found that it opened on Sunday, after we've made other plans. So do not count on it but if you're lucky you might get a nice experience.
One very important note - there are three flights of stairs leading to this apartment. It is NOT for people who find climbing stairs difficult !
To end - it was perfect and I hope we can return there one day.
