Hello Laura,
Thank you for the use of your cottage and I did have a nice time. However, I sadly do think I should point out a few things.
The downstairs bathroom sink water is regurgitating up the shower waste and there were dirty particles within in. This was worse when I emptied a full sink of water. It also had a mild smell when that happened. The towel rail there is also very hot to touch.
The tap in the kitchen sink is rather wobbly. The microwave is not safe to use in its current position above the fridge freezer due to its height. I saw there was a collapsible step, which I'm guessing is to help with this problem, but again poses a safety issue.
There was a smell, I think from the kitchen sink, on Sunday eve which eased by Monday eve. It was acidic and not unlike cat pee. It did go away though and I suspect it's a drain issue.
I do think the addition of an access statement to your listing would be pragmatic. I found the stairs, in parts, to be difficult as there is not a continuous hand rail. They were also a little steeper than I'm used to. I had no idea the ensuite double was on a second floor and it did cause me some difficulty with my arthritis. It would also be helpful for other guests to know parking is a couple of hundred yards away and in a pub overflow car park.
The sink in the ensuite does not, as I see from the label you have placed on it, provide any hot water. I do believe this is a basic sanitary requirement for all bathrooms used by any member of the
