Unit is perfectly located in Mountain Village with true ski in/out access. No elevator access, and a fair amount of steps to deal with going in and out. The pictures accurately reflect the property, it was clean and well appointed. It does NOT have a washer and dryer in the unit, but one can be found down the hallway in the common area. Also, temperature control is a challenge and it was often either very hot or very cold. Opening the windows at night helped...but the snowcats are very loud.
There is not a better location to be had for ease of access to the slopes, transport to Telluride or great restaurants. The unit itself, however, is mediocre.
Location is awesome! Rental was clean and management promptly replied to questions. One downfall is the heating isnât consistent throughout the unit. Otherwise great!
Great property located directly in the Telluride Mountain Village. There is no direct car access because the condo is nestled into the mixed use pedestrian access only area, but the convenience of having the gondola, chondola, Village Express Lift all directly outside your door was a huge benefit! True ski-in & ski-out! We had our airport shuttle drop off and pick up at the Inn at Lost Creek, and walk through property to get to Columbia Place.
Columbia Place 5 is in a superb location in Mtn. Village. Itâs literally right in the town.
While the property was very clean, the upstairs is really lacking. There was a tiny, cheap tv stand to hold clothes (in front of built in drawers that couldnât be accessed), no bedside tables, no hooks for towels.
The full bathroom sink area is open to the first loft (which has the bunk beds) and there is a steep ladder to access the upper loft. The upper loft has no storage whatsoever so we lived out of open suitcases on the floor for a week. The only door is to the one bedroom and the 2 loft spaces are completely open to the downstairs (just be forewarned).
We managed for the week but would not stay here again.
Decided at the last minute to go on an end of season ski trip to Telluride. The condo worked out well. It was close to where I wanted to be for ease of skiing. I was there 3 nights and the condo had everything I needed. Check in and check out was very easy which I appreciated. I would stay at this condo again.
We stayed here with our three kids for the weekend. It is small but worked just fine for is. It is a little bit of a walk from the parking garage to the condo. Awesome location - right next to the gondola. We were able to go back and forth to Telluride and do everything we wanted without a car. The bedroom and the loft were extremely hot - even with the cool temperatures outside and open windows. Other than that, it was great.
This property is in an excellent location for ski season. There were a few quirks about the property (extra sheets/blankets somewhat hidden in a tub upstairs, not enough towels, etc.) but overall it was a great spot for a weekend ski trip. Property management brought us more towels and we ended up having a great time.
A few things to know that for future guests:
1) Garage clearance for the parking spot is 6'8"
2) The pedestrian door to the garage cannot be opened once you leave with the provided codes, you have to go back to the vehicle door and enter your code there.
3) The outside stairs get very slippery (building specific, not an issue with the unit itself).
On a side note, a nosy neighbor seemed to think we stumbled home drunk and puked in the hallway OR had a pet with us - we were accused of both. Not only did she print a color photo of some stain that was on a mat in the public hallway and post it on the ski lockers, accusing our unit, she came by the unit the next day as well and knocked on the door until we answered. This was not the property manager or owner's problem but it was a weird "Karen" moment that was unexpected. I'm not sure what got her so worked up but be aware she exists - especially if you DO decide to get drunk or bring a pet even though it's clear in your rental agreement that pets are not allowed.
The location of the condo cannot be beat. You are at the top of the chondola lift and close to two other lifts. Very convenient for restaurants, ski rentals & ice rink. Listing says 1 bathroom. There is actually a half bath downstairs as well. It is technically a one bedroom but my teens were comfortable in the beds in the common area and loft.
Nothing fancy about the place, small kitchen and dishwasher. 2nd and 3rd levels can get rather warm even in winter (however better to be warmer than not!). Excellent location right next to the Chondola 1 and Village lift! Always wary about "ski in-ski out" however this is truly the case.
