We were in town for a wedding and this was the perfect place for us to stay for a couple days. The cabin was extremely clean and comfortable. The owners were extremely kind and attentive to our needs. We would definitely stay again!
This was a good choice for us. It was peaceful (well, there are peacocks), relaxing, comfortable and a bit quirky. The hosts could not have been more welcoming and we loved hearing the history of the farm. We would stay here again. Especially if the host shares those homemade oatmeal bars!
I was greeted as soon as I got here. I was given a tour of the property. The pictures in this listing do not show the beauty here. Open pastures with views of the mountains, buffalo, wildlife and flowing streams in a natural environment makes this property very unique. This is a quiet property for nature lovers. The host do not bother you and you get the privacy needed to relax comfortably.
Very nice setting and the hosts were very friendly. We planned on just relaxing and enjoying the critters and surroundings. Unfortunately there was not a comfortable place to sit for an extended amount of time. The bathroom did not have a place for us to put any of our bathroom stuff. There was no place to hang any clothes. The light situation was peculiar with sticks needed to reach many switches. We paid for three nights but left after one just because we could not get comfortable.
Very quaint little cabin tucked away on a farm. Owners were very friendly and pleasant. Was a short stay but loved the atmosphere and got to visit with some of the animals. Would definitely stay again.
We travelled over from the UK for our sonâs graduation at Milligan university. Pat and Jonny are the most lovely hosts taking the time to explain the history of the farm and the artists studio where we were staying. Pat is an amazing baker and Jonny a very talented artist. The farm has bison, goats, peacocks and chickens however the wildlife including otters and beavers ( both of which we saw) as well as squirrels and red cardinals ( my favourite) was outstanding. Our log cabin was set on the bank of the pond which was surrounded by trees and irises . The bedroom , kitchenette and shower room were clean, comfortable and homely. We were also invited to use the living room which included items to buy from the local community as well as Jonnyâs art work and crafts. This is situated within the cabin and leads onto a deck overlooking the pond and giving a perfect view of the wildlife. We also met their son Robbie who helps run the farm and is a blacksmith with a forge on the site where he makes useful items. This was a beautiful stay which left us reluctant to leave. We felt part of the family and community and even visited the local farmers market in Jonesborough where Pat sells her fabulous bakes. Thank you to you all for making this stay so pleasurable and giving us such a wonderful insight to Southern hospitality.
No disappointments. Beautiful rustic/historic cabin over a pond. Hosts were there to greet us, gave us homemade treats, explained the history of the property, and were just fantastic people. Loved walking the farmâespecially the week old Buffalo. Felt like finding a Diamond. Loved this stay! Slept great!
We loved watching the pond from the couch through the big picture glass windows, and a squirrel and a peacock seemed to enjoy watching us too! It's so cozy and charming. Mrs. Pat is charming too. Pay attention when they show you where the light switches are! She was quick to help us when we had a question. We hope to stay there again sometime.
The property was conventionally located off a main road but felt very private and secluded once you cross the covered bridge. The cabin is super cozy and has a back deck overlooking a pond. We loved visiting with all the animals!
We spent a couple of nights at this lovely quaint cabin while traveling through Tennessee. It far exceeded our expectations. A wonderful place to sit back, relax, watch the snow fall and be entertained by the peacocks, read and just enjoy the beauty of the property. Very clean, comfortable, warm and we loved hearing the history of the property. We look forward to returning again as we visit Tennessee.
Mrs. Pat greeted us, gave us a tour of our beautiful cabin, and we adored her! She knew it was my husband's birthday and she had made us homemade cake as a special treat. The cabin was so beautiful with its gorgeous view of the pond, birds, lilly pads, and peacocks walking the grounds!
It was the most relaxing stay we have had in a long time. Pat met us when we got in and made sure we got the lay of the land. The next morning, the peacocks were on the porch, dozens of birds at the feeders, the buffalo, goats and chickens were so cool! Robin, the blacksmith, was able to spend some time with us. We sat in the sunroom and just relaxed. It was just beautiful. We can't wait to get back! That made my husbands birthday just perfect. Thank you Lynch family for the amazing experience.
We had a wonderful time staying at the Lynch's beautiful and unique cabin. The cabin was a great home base for taking in some of the historic sites at Rocky Mount and Jonesboro. We even made it to the top of Mt.Unaka to Beauty Spot, where we took some amazing after sunset photos .The actual highlight of the trip for me was getting to sit and talk with Johnny about his art and some of his experiences. We hope to make it back again for another stay and to buy another Johnny Lynch print.
We had the absolute best time. Pat and Johnnie are the sweetest, down-to-earth couple. My husband talked their ears off and they just patiently listened. Gave great advice where to find the best antique places. Make sure to schedule a blacksmithing lesson with Robin. You will love it.
This is such a classic and dreamy spot to stay. With the oversized pond on the perimeter of the porch just feet from the door to the Buffalo on the hillside and wildlife surrounding the antique style cabin. Absolutely LOVED the spot. Just would have liked to stay longer to watch the blacksmith! So much that I left wanting to book another stay for no specific travel purpose other than to just come back to this small piece of peace. Absolutely recommend to get away from the every day and reality.
Driving up and walking into the cabin are like taking a walk back in time or down memory lane. This cabin and property were the detox I needed from my busy life. Just as beautiful as the pictures if not more in person! The owners live nearby and were very friendly, down to Earth people. Canât wait to stay here again!
Our stay was exactly what we needed. Cozy and quiet; peaceful and very comfortable. Super clean inside and out. We loved having our coffee on the porch in the rocking chairs. Watching the mist float over the mountain was picture perfect. The gallery and pond add to the rich history of Unicoi. We canât wait to return.
