My family and I have been planning this trip together for a few years. When we booked the house initially, we were informed from the host that VRBO had double booked the home and we had to change our week. Coordinating this trip was timely and took effort. The host emailed me ,with several options, so we had to change our week or find another home. Upon arrival to the home, it was hot, in checking the termostate, it was blank. I reached out to host via text, no response, so I called and he implied that nothing could be wrong as they were just there. After providing pics a service person was called and arrived promptly to fix. Per the contract it states to do a walk thru of the home and provide and damages noticed, which I did. Again, it was implied that his family was there the week before so how can this be. After providing a pic of the hot tub, which was green, he also stated that is the way it is to look. Service was called, it was drained due to poor water quality and fixed. Also upon arrival the bedspread in upstairs master has blood on it, and the coffee makers were stored with old grinds and all. The home was not cleaned to our standards, who relies on a cleaning crew to ensure the property is ready for the next family. Overall we did have a great time, being together, great location but not worth the amount charged for the week. Communications with the host made us feel very unwelcomed. I would not rent this property again.
