This trip was originally booked before the Pandemic, so being able to book the same trip was really important to us. I did a lot of research to find a place with a terrace that afforded us views but more importantly, a place to start and end each day that would be memorable. The Campo that was "our view" was an amazing place to see, feel and listen to the local culture. It was common for football games to happen in the Campo, often with children but also with many adults joining in. On one night due to our elevated view, we were called upon to be the goal judges! While very close to Sam Marco, this location avoided the craziness of so many people. The three restaurants in the Campo were more than fantastic. The people that ran these businesses were warm and made us feel truly welcome. Other than a brief Wi-Fi problem which was resolved quickly, the property is amazing! The bells on the church in the photos of this place only ring on special occasions which was nice to find out when they did ring and we heard how loud they were. If we were to stay in Venice again, 4th time, we would stay in the same place. In our opinion, the terrace made the trip nothing short of amazing!
