Just book something else! There was a MASSIVE ant infestation and the host refused to do anything about it. We had to throw away all of the food we purchased at Costco due to it literally crawling with ants. Hundreds- covering nearly the entire span of the kitchen. It was disgusting. There were no cleaning supplies in the unit or anything for us to kill the ants with. After 2.5 days, the host told us that if we wanted to take care of the ants, we could go out and buy our own ant spray. This was unacceptable. Without any way to kill the onslaught of ants, we ended up leaving a day early. The host refused to refund us the final night- despite us leaving due to the infestation in the unit. The unit "has AC". What you won't find out is that it does not get turned on until sometime in May. The temperature in our unit reached 86*. It was miserable. There were some small fans in the unit we could use, but they did very little to combat an 86* unit. When we arrived, we found out that every towel in the unit was soaking wet. Soaking. It was as if someone washed them and put them out without ever drying them. It was very gross.I wish our experience would have been better. Between the ants, the lost money in groceries, the 86* living quarters, and soaking wet towels, we did not have the experience that justified the 2,000 we spent on the unit. The hosts absolute refusal to do anything to remedy any of the situations was incredibly disheartening and unprofessional.
