This is the cuties little cabin. Beautifully decorated, super clean, and well stocked with everything you need. The weather was cold, snowy, and rainy but inside the cabin was amazing warm.

This was a wonderful home base for our first visit to Vermont. We’ve become avid hikers and nature lovers, so we wanted something a little off the beaten path but with all the creature comforts we needed to unwind after a 12 hour drive there and 12 hour hikes. The hosts were very accommodating, even leaving us a cooler with ice to help keep food cold since there’s only a mini fridge and we stayed 4 days. The property is beautiful and looks like the land around it, which I loved. We slept like logs and enjoyed some meals cooked there and hot showers. Had everything we could need (besides a microwave). It was very clean and inviting, and we managed to find several trail heads and some shopping during the rainy day of our trip within 1-2 your drive around. No complaints, no notes, wonderful hosts and stay!

Quiet and beautiful

The cabin was nicely appointed andtheremote and rural location was just what I was looking for. A bit further from town(s) than I realized but that was not a problem. Also not quite prepared for the unpaved roads but not a problem as I have often driven on dirt in other places. Hosts very helpful and hospitable.

We loved staying at the Casita del sol cabin. Took a vacation to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday on 4th of July. We choose the cabin we did because it was off the beaten path and cozy looking yet only about 40 mins to Montpelier and maybe an hour or so to Stow (via as litle highway as possible.) We got to meet Keith upon arriving as he was outside working on his home. We all hit it off and he was a helpful guy. Giving us the low down on the property (a very cool spot) and showed us his chickens and a peacock!! That was a cool surprise. We didn't get to meet Erika or the children as they were away for the 4th. We look forward to meeting them next time. Sorry, getting long winded. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Bed,bathroom, small kitchen with gas stove/oven a gas fireplace and even a love seat. Oh and a French press coffee maker. My first time using one and it worked great. Fire pit out back behind the cabin and hiking trails right off the property. We did get to meet the dog,cat and a little kitten too. All in all a great place to come unwind and Keith was around doing his thing if we needed anything and always friendly. We will go back there again when we can. Oh,ps there is a gas grill too at the cabin. Thanks Keith. See you next time. Scott ,Pam and Milo( our dog) Dog friendly is right up out alley.

A Much Needed Respite

Our say at Keith's and Erika's cabin was a much needed respite for my wife and me. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay where we basked in doing nothing but enjoying the warmth and coziness of the cabin. We're planning on coming back soon and renting both cabins for our son and daughter-in-law and us. The only downsides were a leaky shower head that sprayed water on the bathroom ceiling and a lot of dog hair on the floor.

Sweet Spot

We loved staying at this lovely cottage. Very comfortable bedding, nice bathroom/shower, gas stove warmed up the space beautifully, and the kitchenette was fine for brewing coffee, storing our lunch stuff and beer/wine for two. We were able to bring our dog and walk the nearby road which was super quiet before heading off to explore the area. Really sweet spot.

My girlfriend and i stayed here to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Vermont woods. This small cabin was perfect for us and the hosts were very nice and welcoming. If we ever come back to Vermont we will definitely stay here again!

Serene and Peaceful Retreat

This cabin was so peaceful. We loved the location. If you enjoy serene and quiet mornings, this is the place for you. It was decorated well and afforded us a nice reprieve after days of hiking or walking. I loved the fireplace, lovely time reading on the cozy couch with the fireplace going. I would definitely return if given the opportunity.

The Silence was Golden

We had a wonderful weekend at this quaint little cottage that had all the amenities we needed. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet at Casita Del Sol and plan a future trip to just immerse ourselves in the solitude on Scale Hill Road and it's beaurtiful natural surroundings. Keith and Erica are wonderrful hosts that make every effort to make your stay a memorable one.

Wonderful Getaway!

Beautiful woodland property that was a delight to be at. Erika and Keith have cultivated a beautiful space that refreshes the soul. I loved all the flowers! The kitchen held all we needed and the cottage was comfortable for a weekend getaway to celebrate a wedding anniversary. Great burgers in S. Royalton (at host’s suggestion) was only a 20 min drive. We ranged out to Burlington to rent e-bikes to ride along the lake front and causeway. Great food and shopping in the city. It is a remote location so recommend bringing some basic groceries if needed. Definitely recommend!

Magical!

This place is absolutely beautiful. The pictures you see online are pretty but once you get there you are going to realize that the place is perfect. From the location, to how perfectly decorated it is. La casita del sol is definitely the ideal definition of coziness. But my biggest highlight about this property are the owners. We felt protected like if we were in our own house. We felt home. They took care of every single detail and made us feel extremely comfortable and special. During our stay our car broke down and we got stuck in Vermont. And what we thought it was going to be a nightmare ended up being a beautiful trip just because of the help Keith and Erika provided. I’m never going to forget about this place. And I can’t wait to be back! Book your dream getaway at La casita del sol, trust me - you won’t regret it. And to Keith and Erika: Thank you. Lovely respite

I had a peaceful and lovely five-night stay at the casita. The property and surrounding area were so beautiful—even if I was a little late for the leaves. I love Vermont—I got such a good feel for the industriousness and creativity of Vermonters as I drove around the state. I plan to come back—I have a long list of things I wasn’t able to do this trip.
