Our daughter was graduating from Purdue so we needed a place large enough to host family of 12 flying in. This place was perfect! Only a short drive to campus and comfortable space for all. My parents do not do well with stairs so it was great to have a room for them on main floor. Love the basement -great for the teens and young adults. Casey and Erin were wonderful and easy to communicate with. We had everything we needed for a memorable and special getaway celebration.
The cabin is as pictured. The location was great and it was really nice to be able to get away with friends and family for a night. The only problem was that the shower downstairs didnât have hot water.
We were a large group from out of town for our sonâs wedding. Easier to have us all together than spread out in a hotel. Plenty of towels, coffee maker worked and the fridge also. Itâs close to town, easy to navigate area. Nice that we werenât right on top of other people. Plenty of parking also.
When we arrived, the water was turned off. We turned it on and discovered a major leak in a water line, so we turned it back off. We got ahold of the owner and he had a plumber there within an hour to fix it. Beds were comfortable.
We really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable cabin with family. Such a cozy space with room for everyone to gather. We loved the quiet country setting, yet so close to town for easy access to food or supplies. Casey was very attentive if we would've needed anything, and check-in process was very smooth.
We had a wonderful relaxing weekend at this Lafayette cabin. There was plenty of room outside for the kids to play and climb trees without feeling like we were too close to the road. The adults enjoyed the porch and living room area for playing cards and visiting. The downstairs bunk room was a nice quiet space for getting the kid crew to bed. Unfortunately the downstairs shower was out of order, but because of the short trip, it wasn't an issue. The upstairs open loft had three queen beds Tetris style, which we moved away from the loft rail to stop any possible tumbles. It was great having a bathroom on each level and I would recommend this rental for small groups that are very comfortable with each other.
Great "Country Experience" with Downtown Convenience
This was the perfect property for our group to stay while attending a conference in West Lafayette. The location was convenient and provided respite during the day for the children and a great place to gather and fellowship.
The amenities were great for a group and we appreciated the cleanliness of the cabin.
Rented for a Purdue football game with 16 adults âŠ
The property was perfect for a crowd that size.
Outdoor space allowed for fun games & plenty of parking. Only took 15 minutes to get to football stadium & an easy $10 uber ride home. Communication with vrbo manager was Great - he answered all our questions and very helpful.
Our 12-man group had an overall great stay at this house. 10 full-size beds or bigger was clutch! The house is in a great location 15 min or so from downtown.
Coffee maker was broken which I consider a minor, yet major disappointment for a bunch of dudes who need their coffee.
The property has a nice front lawn for yard games, except it wasn't mowed. Its clearly turning into a front yard field which is also disappointing.
The water bill has to be high as 2 of the faucets throughout the house had constant drips.
Overall, this house is perfect for a large group needing a place to relax and sleep. The downside is the property management seems to be complacent in some of the details like mowed lawn and working coffee maker.

This worked well for our big group and it's just outside of town so close enough for restaurants, groceries and anything else we needed but secluded as well! There was also plenty of cups, silverware and plates for large groups.
We did have a few issues with the shower downstairs in the basement, the shower head was not working and tiles were falling off as we showered. Also if you plan to cook while here just know there's not really any space to do that as the counters are very small and we had to use the table to put food on for serving which meant no one could sit at the table. We made it work, but it is helpful to know ahead of time!
Overall we felt this was a good place to stay for our large group and would stay again, just wouldn't cook on site next time!
Very disappointing stay would rate zero if possible
No heat on arrival in December
House had a putrid sewer smell
Rotten pumpkins at front door
Dishes in dishwasher and clothes in washing machine
No response from Property Manager for hours
Not a six bedroom home
Offered a partial refund if I agreed not to post a negative review and canceled my reservation which is not possible according to VRBO once a reservation has commenced
Not an authorized rental according to municipality
VRBO not at all helpful in resolving issues
Nice having bathroom on all three floors
Garbage disposal in kitchen did not work, thus poor drainage.
Plenty of beds.
Lawn not mowed.
Plenty of towels, but not on all floors.
Garbage falling out of trash barrel.
Unsure of where the firepit was...a couple of burn piles.
Front porch great.
Appliances missing light bulbs and fridge missing drawers.
No smoke alarms that we saw.
Basement is great, but technically cannot be considered bedrooms because there is no easment.
The home was well layed out for our team, with separate spaces for our kids and adults to relax and get some much needed rest during our busy weekend in Indiana.
Stayed at the house with 11 friends on a weekend golf trip. There's was plenty of room for all of us and the outdoor space and front porch were nice additions! If you're looking for somewhere near Purdue and Coyote Crossing, this is the best option!
