We enjoyed a few years ago and loved this place but this time one of out tipis we couldnt stay in due to smell and mold "Many Mountains". Our friends got a hotel instead which separated our group. The water was full of moss and and everything overgrown.. not a place to fish or kayak unfortunately..the last visit we enjoyed everything but this time we left early cause nothing to do really.
We wanted to take my grandkids (7&9) on a short worry free camping trip for spring break and I ran across this place in my search. It is about four miles from the state park. The TiPis were amazing!! There are five on site. This would be a great place to bring multiple families. They had a wonderful pavilion area with LOTS of games, plenty of seating, and a beautiful pond.
If you are looking for authentic American Indian experience, this is your place. Beautiful tipis, nice furniture, bed a little hard but nice. . Community pavilion with many games, Johnny is a great host.
It stormed the night we were there and I slept so good!! We were late to check in also but Johnny met us at the office and showed us around. Loved the experience â€ïž
We loved our stay. It was so much fun and the owner is an amazing person. He was so nice and helpful! My kids love it and was telling everyone how much fun they had! Will definitely be back.
The grounds were nice with solar lighting to illuminate paths, the tipis were so cute and chic, bathrooms were well kept. They have fun family games and multiple grills to cook on in the pavilion. The only issue I had, which is on me for not thinking it through, is the AC in the tipiâs. I was expecting it to be cooler than it was, but I can see how that would be nearly impossible with the set up and it being 100 degrees outside. I did notice they built them surrounded by trees to help keep them sheltered from the elements. My family had a wonderful time and hope to be back soon!
My little Grandson loved it and made a great friend while there, that made it extra worth it. I had booked the teepee with a king bed, but ours had a queen with futon. Another couple told us I think we got yours... no matter, we had a good time while there and Johnny was very pleasant.
We had a nice stay it was nice to unplug from the world. Comfortable accommodations and nice property. The management was great in communicate with. There was a big storm that passed through when we arrived and they kept in contact with us incase we needed to take cover. Definitely will suggest the property to others.
We had a lot of fun. The boys loves walking through the woods and using the boats at the pond. The weather was raining but we brought rain coats and still had a blast. The tepees stayed warm and cozy and the games under the pavilion were a great touch!!!
The owner is very friendly and has a perfect little get away!!
Everything you want when you're off the grid - quaint quarters, comfortable amenities, peacefully quiet and more stars than you've ever seen. Would be a great place to bring the family for a weekend of games, cookouts, and no wifi!
What a great way to disconnect, relax, enjoy nature, and bond with others. Absolutely recommend. Our eight year old twins, as well as us, enjoyed every moment.
This was such an incredible experience! My sister and I do a âUnique Stayâ every year! The tipi was so comfortable and the paintings the wife has done are wonderful! They have really created something very unique there! We loved the location and they had things set up very nicely! Johnnie was awesome! We came in a day early and he worked hard to accommodate us and it was my mistake. He shared lots of tidbits on the Wills Point area. We highly recommend this place! You wonât be disappointed!
We enjoyed our stay. The owner was kind and attentive. The accommodations were designed with attention to detail and I appreciated the very clean and nice bathrooms. I wish the lake had fish but I donât think it is the ownerâs fault that Texas is in a drought and the lake was very low. I wish the hiking had more distance and trails. Overall, I think small groups would really enjoy this glamping experience together. Itâs great for folks who want to sit around a fire and experience the outdoor camping thing but with a nice place to sleep and nice bathrooms. And for Dallas folks the fact that itâs a hr away is a plus because a short drive is really nice for a weekend.
My best friend and I wanted to run away to the woods and glamp!! These tips were so awesome! The beds inside were very comfortable and they had a fan, air conditioner and space heater. The bath house was perfect and the fire pit, grills and games were all wonderful! I would highly recommend!!
