Amazing weekend!
We had a bunch of friends and their families together for the long weekend. The house is perfect for everyone to be able to have plenty of space and amazing entertainment. The kids LOVED the pool and we set up the living room for a perfect movie night. We will be back!

Our Staff Retreat
It is large enough that small groups could gather in areas with large areas big enough for all of us to eat together or cook together. The kitchen is spacious with large refrigerators, a grill, a large stovetop and plenty of countertops. The kids loved the indoor pool in winter. The landlord was very helpful and answered my questions quickly.

Wonderful stay
Our family rented this house to celebrate the holidays, and it was absolutely perfect for our multi-generational group! There was more than enough space for everyone, with plenty of bedrooms and a thoughtful layout that worked wonderfully for each family.The kids were thrilled with the pool and game room, which kept them entertained for hours. Meanwhile, the spacious living room and kitchen were perfect gathering spots for everyone. The kitchen, in particular, was a standout—its size and functionality made cooking for our large group easy and enjoyable.Overall, this house exceeded our expectations and made our holiday celebration truly memorable. Comminication with the owner was prompt and he went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and effortless We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a spacious, well-equipped home for a large group getaway!

Friends getaway
This place is great for large groups. So many different rooms to socialize and not feel overwhelmed. The kitchen has everything you could possible need (just bring extra paper towels, garbage bags etc, if you are there for a longer stay). It’s seems that there are some electrical issues with the home but nothing that disrupted our stay & the caretaker did their best to rectify the issue. Bathrooms never ran out of hot water which is always a worry for large homes so that was great! There are lots of fireplaces but only the wood burning one seemed to be functional & wish the pool was a little warmer. Overall a great stay & would recommend!

Perfect weekend
My husband and I invited our wedding party to stay at NHMI with us for the weekend of our wedding! We got married at Ragged Mountain and this inn was a perfect spot for our wedding party to get ready/ hangout after the wedding! The inn was extremely clean and charming with views that will take your breath away. Perfect weekend!

Family Vacation!
It's our second time staying with our extended family. Plenty of space and the kitchen dining room work perfectly for our large group. Hiked Ragged and Kearsarge, and biked the rail trail which is just at the bottom of the hill. Communication with host was easy and quick. The grounds keeper was attentive when the area lost power one night. Excellent stay!

Better than you can even imagine!
Mountainside estate was an absolute dream property! I swear we didn't even find all the bedrooms because there were just so many! All the guests raved about every part of the property, from the pool, to the kitchen, to all the lounge areas. Everything was comfortable, cozy, and very clean. We can't wait to plan our next stay!

With a group of 20, there are many times where you cannot even find anyone amongst the various spaces, which are all unique.The bedrooms were spacious, the house was clean, and in an excellent location to both Mount Sunapee and the more local Ragged Mtn. I've been booking annual vacation homes for over 10 years and this one is one of the best yet.

Best Year Yet!
Every year our group gets together for what we call a “Christmas Miracle Trip.” We are a large group with several different families and children ranging from 2-10. It’s chaotic and wonderful- we do puzzles, play games, exchange gifts and cook lots of food. We have stayed a different rental for the last 9 years. This property was such a hit! Here’s what we loved: The kitchen- best one yet. Plenty of space (so much counter space!), tons of fridge and freezer room, an ice machine (!!), and the little side nook was very convenient for the littlest one to eat so parents could keep an eye on them while cooking. The rooms were clean, comfortable, the bedding cozy, and there were no noise complaints as each hallway had a door which helped keep napping babies happy. The games were great for the kids, the fireplace room downstairs was super cozy and the property just beautiful. It snowed while we were there and it was so magical. There is charm and beauty everywhere. A delight! Thank you! Also, based on previous reviews we did bring extra toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags which did come in handy. The chlorine in the pool is strong but the kids loved it anyway!

Great stay for large group
We had an amazing weekend at this house! It had plenty of space for our 8 families with tons of beds and places to hang out. We never felt crowded and so many options for things to do with the pool, games, tv room and board games! Thanks for an amazing weekend we’ll be back!!

Perfect for a large group
We had the most amazing weekend at the Mountain Inn. The host Eric was super helpful and easy to work with; we had a couple questions and he answered immediately. Our group ranged from 2yo to 70yo and this house had space the suited everyone’s needs. The adults could gather in one of the two living rooms upstairs while the kids played in the game room or TV room. The house was immaculate and the bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. The kitchen had great appliances that all worked and there was plenty of dish-ware, silverware, pots and pans and cooking utensils. The pool area was the kids favorite, that water is a little chilly so none of the parents braved the cold but the kids played for hours. The outside space is incredible. Amazing fire-pit and the kids loved exploring and running around. We can’t wait to book again!

Nice place for a company retreat
For our purposes this met our needs. The only frustration was with lack of organization and kitchen/cooking utensils along with a dishwasher that wasn't really usable for the average person, very loud refrigerators and a non working ice machine.

Didn’t meet expectations
I was in charge of planning a family reunion for 28 and was disappointed with the condition of the property and “preparedness” for guests. Two bedrooms were locked. I had to go around plugging in lamps and changing dead light bulbs. We had children with us who enjoyed the pool but there was black mold on pool side cushions so we only used a portion of the deck space. The hot water is dangerously hot. Most bathroom soap dispensers were empty and extra toilette paper was not provided, nor were there enough towels in the bathrooms and no dryer available to dry pool towels. The dumpster was overflowing when we arrived. There is a fire pit but bring your own wood; paper products, cleaning supplies, Tupperware, large garbage bags, towels, cellophane, clean sponges, dish washing fluid and dish towels (unless you don’t mind using rags.) The owners need to be very clear to guests what they need to bring. Our previous large reunion homes were much more generous with cleaning supplies, hygiene and paper products. It made it much easier for all of us flying in or driving. I realize the home is old and expected sticky door jams, uneven floors and dark rooms in a portion of the home but not in the additions. One of the first things I saw was a faded, ripped American flag hanging by the door - I took it down. On a positive note, the kitchen was great, extra refrigerators and a great stove. The proximity to hiking and views were each a bonus. Some of the bedrooms are lovely.

The property is lovely, with beautiful views. There was plenty of room for our extended family. We had a lot of cloudy/damp days, but there was always something to do in the house. The homeowner is very responsive and the live-in caretaker very helpful. We had a great week!

Property was great- plenty of room and bedrooms and relaxation areas for the number of people. Was great to prepare meals in the commercial kitchen. Dining room was plenty big-we had a 1000 piece puzzle challenge between men and women during the week- we played games/cards on the dining room table as well. Plenty of room in refrigerators and freezer. Loved the outside grounds in the back- spent a ton of time out there-comfortable tables and chairs there as well. Kids had a blast running around and playing yard games out there which we brought with us. Spent a little time in the pool which was ok but was a bit cloudy and could have been cleaner. Enjoyed fires at night- fire pit was nice and big. Overall it was fabulous! A few items to consider- 1. The fuse to the outlet for the coffee station kept blowing. The grounds keeper came a couple times but it continued so we just used the kuerig. 2. We ran out of toilet paper-was very surprised about this never happened in any rental before. Our rental was from Sat-sat and we were out of TP by Monday. 3. Ran out of garbage bags early in the stay so purchased those as well. 4. Outside doors to the pool area need to be updated - one didn’t latch well and the other was difficult to open. Although these items didn’t interfere with our vacation-it was a bit irritating to have to rectify them and I felt like I was pesty texting the host abt the outlet, TP and garbage bags etc… that said Eric responded quickly and politely!

Sprawling inn in beautiful location
This place was spacious with large rooms and lots of smaller spaces to lounge in. Our family of 28 enjoyed the indoors and outdoors. There were some unanticipated issues and Eric and the nearby caretaker were extremely communicative. Lots of bedrooms with bathrooms gave lots of privacy. We had an amazing time.

Excellent Family Vacation Stay
There were twenty-four extended family members and we all had a great time. The common rooms were plenty big enough for all of us to hang out together and there were smaller common spaces to get away to. The kitchen and dining room were perfect for our large group. The kitchen was outfitted with everything we needed and the commercial grade set-up made clean up really easy. The bedrooms are nicely appointed and gave everyone plenty of their own space. Outdoors we set up volleyball, croquet, and quidditch with plenty of room left over. The view is amazing...especially on the night of the lightning storm. The pool was a hit day and night. Highly recommended.
