We had a great weekend stay! Bring your own blankets for snuggling, and we had to Google how to use the coffee maker and stove (not all the pans are safe for use, turns out) but these are minor details in an otherwise beautiful, secluded, comfortable casita. Consider us charmed and looking forward to returning!
Not as described. Previous reviews stated that exterior lighting was not operational as well as jets in the hot tub. When asking the management company if these issues had been addressed, I was told they indeed were repaired. Upon arrival, these issues had not been repaired and the management team member stated he knew nothing about it but would find out. We never saw him again. The exterior is pitch black at night sans one bulb on the deck. Patio furniture was unusable with torn or missing cushions that did not fit . Open pits and various unfinished construction projects surround the cabin making it treacherous, especially after dark. An abandoned RV is directly behind the cabin giving the place a dirty vibe. There was construction on a new cabin just feet away with generators, compressors, pressure washers and all manner of noise that continued from morning until almost 9 pm. The interior wouldn't be bad if it were deep cleaned. The cobwebs were present everywhere, dirt in every corner, dirty windows, floor, etc. There is no view because the trees haven't been trimmed in a very long time. The electrical outlet inches from the hot tub is hanging out of the wall with wire exposed and an animal nest made inside the void. The management company acted indifferent and uninterested in doing anything about the conditions, safety concerns and inaccurate description of the listing
The property was nice. Be aware you are next too 2 other casitas less than 100 feet away. The light bulbs were out in the side entrance and 1 on the back deck. At night it is pitch black and I almost tripped coming from the car. There is a step from the ground to the deck that is not visible at night. The stove did not work and half of the jacuzzi jets did not work. I texted management Saturday afternoon about these issues and was told someone would be stopping by to look at the problems. Well no one came by and we left the next day.
This property is stunning and well maintained. It's to both Wimberley and Dripping Springs. There are multiple venues and restaurants nearby. We enjohed the peace and quiet and the beautiful nature on the property.
The cabin is charming, but there are notable issues. **Pros:** 1. Within walking distance to a winery 2. Quiet atmosphere 3. Close to town **Cons:** 1. Unclean conditions 2. Dirty linens 3. Poor communication with the owner Before our arrival, I inquired about the cleanliness of the cabin and was assured that it had improved since previous negative reviews, which turned out to be untrue. We were booked to stay for three nights, but we left after two because the experience was unbearable on many levels. The deal-breaker for us was the dirty bed, which smelled and was full of hair strands
The cabin we stayed in was private and very scenic. The hottub was very clean, although we noticed it didn't get as hot as it should. Still, it was warm enough to enjoy in the chilly evening. They have speakers outside so you can listen to music while enjoying the porch area, although you are restricted volume. You can't hear it while the hottub is going. Although private, you aren't too far from next property, so understandable. The stove was difficult to figure out, it's picky about type of pan to use and took us a while to figure out (it was one of their pans). Bring your own coffee, they had a nice Ninja coffee maker with Keurig pods; we had to make a run to town the next morning. The main issue I had was that the sheets didn't smell clean and of course it bothered me a lot. There were cobwebs in the bedroom, and it was very dirty under the bed. They also make you throw the trash out in a dumpster not convenient to property (we had a small, packed vehicle) and do all the cleaning before you leave. I don't think the cleaning person does much before next person. Keep these things in mind when packing but this is a great place!
Better than expected. The place was roomy and the deck with hot tub was very nice. Clean and modern. The stove took awhile to look up a YouTube video on how to work it, instructions would have helped, but we figured it out. The shower was beautiful. Everything was perfect.
Everything was perfect, can't say enough about the accommodations, the view, the jacuzzi, oh! and the fishing pond it was a planned treat for me. My only concern were the conditions of the patio and the interior floors/ rugs upon arrival? Might I suggest these things prior to arrival of each tenant, pressure wash patio and jacuzzi cover, mop floors and dust or change rugs.
The home itself is very cute and it was quiet which is what we were after but the house was not clear. There was no hand soap in the home. Really, no handsoap in the bathroom. The first morning we were there the coffee maker did not work. We had to drive into town to get coffee. This to me is unacceptable and was only provided one coffee pod for the coffee maker that didn't work. They first time a turne on the kitchen faucet the faucet head flew off and got water everywhere including me! The house was not clean dirt on the floor, crown molding doesn't look like it has ever been touched living room tables all had dust on them, cobwebs in every corner, Hairs on the pillows (yuck). Stove top didn't work so we had to eat out the entire stay and finally the hot tub was not hot. When the Maintenace guy did come with a coffee maker he didn't even bring coffee filters he had to get them from another house. We had to go back to the store to buy coffee. Overall, I would caution people from stay at this property. Could have been a great stay so disappointing you spend this kind of money for this kind of experiance especially for a special occasion,
The property is close enough to Austin but far enough to feel like youâre away from the hustle and bustle of a major metro area. Many cute little towns nearby with shops, food, wineries, breweries, antiques whatever you fancy. Everything was easy to find and the property was well equipped. Be careful if you drive a lower profile vehicle, thereâs a few ruts in the roads with large rocks that could tear the splash guard off your car or hit the oil pan. Just drive with care! Thanks for everything!
Beautiful property and very quiet. The house is just the right size for a getaway with everything you need. We did not use the hot tub but it's a great feature to have, as it is private from the other houses. Bed was perfect- best sleep.
