Kampong Phluk is another must see when visiting Siem Reap. It makes a great low-pressure afternoon and evening, perfect for a break from the early start visits to temples. Amazing in its own right, it is not only home to families, fishermen and school children, but a show of human skill.
The village people's way of life is centre around their homes and school which are positioned to sustain living in the area. The homes are built upon stilts and appear to float when the water rises.
