Für uns war das Hotel eher ein Zufallsfund, weil wir spontan an die Schweizer Grenze wollten. Für ein Wochenende ist das Hotel ideal. Der Service durch die Inhaberin ist herzlich. Die Zimmer sind nicht allzu groß, aber sauber. Die Kissen waren leider nicht so bequem. Obwohl unser Zimmer an der Hauptstraße lag, war nachts auch bei geöffnetem Fenster kaum etwas vom Verkehr zu hören. Wenn man beabsichtigt, einen Tag in Basel zu verbringen und man das Auto stehen lassen will, liegt das Hotel ideal. Zu Fuß läuft man 20 min bis zur nächsten Tram-Haltestelle in Riehen (man kann auch den Bus dorthin nehmen) und kann von dort aus mit einer Tageskarte ganz Basel erkunden. Das spontane Abendessen, das wir eigentlich gar nicht im Hotel nehmen wollten, war ein Höhepunkt unseres Aufenthaltes. Das Frühstücksbuffet bietet vielleicht nicht so viel Schnickschnack wie größere Hotels, dafür gibt es eine große Auswahl an Bio-Lebensmitteln und einen selbst (!) geschnittenen Obstsalat. Volle Empfehlung!
